Nice large area for parking or camping close to the road but has the middle of nowhere fill. Quiet and relaxing.

A lovely uncrowded little spot, good for overnight or two. 23$ per night, picnic tables and designated sites. Kayak, paddleboard, swim. NOTE: there is a friendly, habituated to humans Raven near the lake who spends a lot of time on the ground. Please leash your dog.

The place is rather large and well positioned between BC and Alberta so if you're traveling and need a place to stay for the night it does the trick nicely. However, locals seem to take camping sites as day use areas so most good spots are temporarily taken so travelers can't camp there. Additionally, toilets could use a more frequent refresh and highway noise is omnipresent so if you have options you may want to consider going elsewhere.

The Alberta Government needs to do some housecleaning at this site, it's a neat site to visit though!

I thought it was a really good area, the camp ground is a bit open but surrounded by trees so it doesn't get too windy. However when I got there I attempted to register but there was no pen at the kiosk, neither could I find the one I always keep in my truck so I just figured the campground attendant would be by at some point to help me out. Well to my surprise it was the CO's that showed up instead handing me a $120 ticket for not registering on time. So yah...island lake camp ground at the Alberta border! Good place...crapy service!

Nice little place to stop for a night. The left area of the campground is right by the water and very scenic, however be prepared to wake up several times a night as the train is just across the parking lot an can come through at least 4 times a night. If that's something you don't mind then this is a great little place. It has pit toilets and a nice little beach to swim.

Very nice if you get a spot on the lake. Less spectacular if you're in the parking lot. Not terrible though.
