I have camped at many campgrounds and I have to say this one is by far the greatest campground we ever been to. I haven’t relaxed a long time camping till this past weekend. Very dog friendly. Renee and her group keeps the grounds and bathrooms in tip top shape. I just wish I had been there long before now. We will be back. They even sell firewood and ice as well. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

We arrived on 7/11 and were met at the gate by Renee, a camp host. She showed us to our spot and made sure all was fine. I asked about wood and she had Randy bring us some. It was more than I could burn in 2 days. Price $10.00. Our site was right on the lake and only a 15 yard walk to go swimming. Randy and Renee came back Saturday to make sure all was okay. The park was well maintained and we could not have had a nicer experience. We highly recommend Big Hart, we will be back.

The managers are very nice. However I had a severe yellow jacket problem on my site 14. They were so bad I could hardly spend time outside. I believe the park needs to find the nest and terminate. I was stung multiple times. I have an allergy and was forced to leave early. I believe the fee for the week needs to be refunded. And hopefully no one has rented the spot. I will call the county offices on Monday and express my disappointment

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5-Star Campground Experience! We had an absolutely amazing stay at this campground and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the camp hosts (Renee and Randy) greeted us with genuine warmth and hospitality. They were polite, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to help — whether it was assisting with directions, firewood delivery, or simply offering a friendly wave as they made their rounds. The bathhouses were spotless throughout our stay — clearly well-maintained and cleaned regularly. It’s such a relief to have clean, modern facilities when you’re camping, and this place truly exceeded expectations. The campground itself is peaceful and quiet — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We especially appreciated the pet-friendly atmosphere. Our dog loved splashing around in the water and enjoyed quiet morning and evening walks. If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, and friendly campground with top-notch hosts like Renee and Randy, a great atmosphere, this is the place! We’ll definitely be back!
