RV Park

Overview

Overview

Travelers rolling into Jackpine RV & Mobile Home Pk in La Pine, OR will find a base camp situated within the distinctive high desert landscapes of central Oregon. This location places visitors amidst the iconic Ponderosa pine forests and volcanic terrain that define the upper Deschutes River basin. It serves as a practical stopover for motorists navigating US Route 97.

Location & Surroundings

Positioned south of Bend along US Route 97, this park sits at an elevation of over 4,000 feet, bringing crisp mountain air and frequent clear skies. The surrounding geography features flat, lodgepole pine-covered plains bordered by the Cascade Range to the west. Winters can bring freezing temperatures and snowfall, while summers offer warm afternoons and cool, starry nights ideal for outdoor living.

Amenities & Park Features

Because specific on-site infrastructure details are not universally documented beyond what the name suggests, visitors should verify critical operational specifics directly with management. When calling ahead, be sure to ask about hookup types, current site dimensions, access rules for mobile units versus transient RVs, and seasonal operating schedules. Confirming utility amperages and water availability ensures your rig matches the setup.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The surrounding Deschutes National Forest offers endless opportunities for hiking, off-road driving, and wildlife viewing on vast public lands. Anglers can access the nearby Deschutes River and Crane Prairie Reservoir for trout fishing and paddling. For a day trip, the volcanic formations of Newberry National Volcanic Monument and the amenities of downtown Bend are a short drive up the highway.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination suits road-trippers, outdoor recreation enthusiasts, and travelers seeking a base for exploring central Oregon wilderness without staying directly in a major city. It appeals to visitors prioritizing public lands access and highway proximity over resort-style features. Those transiting the Pacific Northwest via Route 97 will find this a straightforward spot to drop anchor.

My Niece Marci said, that New People had purchased it. That the Family came in and Cleaned the Whole Place up Really Nice! She said it was looking Great with some spaces ready to rent, and they were busy getting more sites ready to go. The previous year a fire burned part of it, and it was in pretty big disrepair. Lots of work needed to be done. When I drove by It looked like the New Owner's have been very busy, and are putting in a lot of effort to keep things looking Comfortable & Inviting! Marci said They are Always working on ways to improve things, and make Your stay more Enjoyable. Stop in, Say Hi, Grab a Cold Soda, and Let Me know what You Think?? Tell Them Juli Sent You! We haven't met yet, but I got a little place not far from them. So I will be checking it out, and saying Hi to them myself. Maybe I will see You there. 🙄🙋‍♀️🌲
