Jacksonport

Jacksonport is a small unincorporated community located in Jackson County, Arkansas. It is situated on the White River, about 10 miles south of Newport, the county seat. The community was founded in 1831 and was once a thriving river port. Today, Jacksonport is a quiet rural community with a population of about 200 people. The town is home to the Jacksonport State Park, which offers camping, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
