A fantastic place to visit. A nice place e to fish go on a hike. I hiked around the lake and came upon a trail that had Halloween decorations put up for kids and felt like one myself. I also hiked the Marble Mine trail. Great experience for the whole family.

Nice little state park in northwest Georgia. Can’t beat the 5 dollar fee to get in. Great hiking trails and a neat spot to explore is the marble cave.

Fun hike, a little on the moderate side for beginners since there was a few inclines. But very nice under the shade. Really enjoyed the hike. Pretty spots to take pics. Was hoping for more views at the top but didnt get to see much. Is peaceful and lots of mushrooms 🍄 on the path. Was fun to take pics of the different ones on the trail.

James H. Sloppy Floyd State Park is a hidden gem! With over 560 acres of beautiful trails, peaceful lakes, and stunning scenery, it’s the perfect spot for hiking, fishing, or just soaking in nature. The trails are well-maintained and offer a great mix of easy and challenging routes, including some rewarding uphill climbs. One of my favorite discoveries was the beautiful old mine—such a cool piece of history tucked away in the woods! Despite a little rain and some bugs, the park’s natural beauty made every step worth it. The only downfall was the staff at the visitors center was not nice at all, clean facilities, and plenty of spots for picnics make this park a must-visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to reconnect with nature!

Beautiful park!! I really enjoyed the kayak, so peaceful, with the perfect views of the trees from the lake. The hiking trails are very exciting, I loved seeing the water falling from the mountain and the peacefulness you can feel there! The staff, they were amazing, very friendly and helped us with the parking pass and activities to do there. Daily parking pass is 5$ and the annual pass 50$, kayak was like 12$ per hour, they have singles and for 2 people too, they also have paddle board and cycling boats, they also offer cabins to stay the night and if you want to take your tent with you, they also have a spot for tents and RVs, they have restrooms, laundry and picnic areas.

Came across this park accidentally and I’m glad I did. Nice spot. Beautiful lake. Great visitors center with plenty of soveniors and snacks. Can hire kayaks. Great spot for fishing. Loved hiking there. About half an hour from DeSoto Falls and make sure to add in Little River Canyon into your trip too!

I've wanted to visit this park for years. We hiked several of the trails and they were all well maintained and clearly marked. The only thing holding us back was the severe cold. It reached the low twenties at night which meant we were unable to get out until after lunch when it finally got above freezing. We stayed in cabin four. The heater had to work hard to keep things comfortable, but it did the job. Just in case, there were extra blankets available and a fireplace.

This is a hidden gem. We stayed in a "cottage" and it was a very nice cabin with 2 bedrooms and enough space for 8 people. Full kitchen with utensils, plates, cups and cookware. The hiking trails were beautiful and there were RV and tent spaces as well as a playground for kids. Quite a few people were fishing and there were kayaks and little boats to rent as well. Lots of fun for our family for a few days. Not busy or crowded at all.
