I stayed for two nights with a party of 3 in a 4 person tent at site 43 in A loop (no electric). It was on top of a water spicket which was convenient and the bathroom was close. It was, however, too close to the busy parking lot and camp store for my liking but that also meant proximity to the waterway. The camp was strict about staying on the camp pad which I think would be tough to fit three tents on with two cars at most of the sites. I had a pretty curt conversation with an older gentleman on the phone about using trees near a neighboring unoccupied camp site to hammock at, which wasn't very hospitable. Other than that my stay was great. The temperature controlled bathroom was clean and the showers were large and handicap accessible. People did comment the shower water took a while to heat up. There is a lookout tower overlooking the water and tons of beautiful walking paths located nearby. I was surprised the camp store was still doing kayak rentals so late into the fall season (October 18th). The firewood at the store was reasonably priced and burned great. Fair warning about the bugs. It wasn't too bad in late fall but still bring bug spray. Beautiful spot.

Been going to Jane's Island state park for over 50 years. I'll spare you the history. It is a very nice campground with mostly all sites with shade from old growth pines. Sites are a bit close for my liking but much better than most private parks. If you are a kayaker and enjoy tidal flats and creeks this place is great. The fishing is good summer through fall. Great place for sunsets. I have hundreds of great sunset pictures. Camp store is well stocked with basic needs. Cabins are reserved well in advance as are all sites on popular weekends so plan ahead. 5 minutes to Food Lion, 20 minutes to Walmart.

This is a perfect place for kayaking. Free to launch if you bring your own yak. There is a park fee for day use of picnic areas. There are 2 kayak launchers... 1 by the rental station and one for general use. Jane's Island proper is just across the canal. You can't swim in the canal. However the beach is one mile paddle. BRING BUG SPRAY!!!

Lovely, well-maintained campground nestled in a pine forest and near a salt water canal. Plenty of outdoor activities for the entire family, including fishing, crabbing, trails to explore, a boat launch too. Most of the campsites are groomed and level. The A loop is more rustic than B loop and C loop, but A loop is closet to the boat launch and playground. Cabin rentals are also available. Wifi at the camp store. Super clean bath facilities and the water is hot. A mix of electric and non-electric sites. Sites do not have water or sewer. There is a dump station and dumpsters are located at each end of the park. All water spigots are accessible with potable water; a drinking water spigot is at the dump station, clearly marked as such. The mosquitoes and biting flies bite hard. Be sure to bring repellent. We camped here over 4th of July weekend, and it was quiet compared to other places we've camped. Verizon 👎 AT&T 👍

Beautiful campsite, a bit open and you can see through the other neighbor campers but who cares you are still camping. Its always fun camping, especially it is close to a Canal which people go kayaking/ boating. Like you walk a few feet and it’s there. Bathroom is always cleaned. Very good accommodation but it is on the far side of Maryland. It was almost 4 hours away from us. But i would like to stay here much longer than 3 days so i can really enjoy it.

Nice location for a retreat! The 2nd story work room at the Doughterty Lodge comes complete with large tables and chairs. The bunks are comfy. BYO pillows and linens. Kitchen is well equipped.

Janes Island Park is a beautiful place. Pine trees, bike trails, walking trails, beautiful sunsets. The campgrounds are spaced nice and wide.

Great place to tent camp near the water. The sunsets were amazing! There are also cabins available. Hiking is minimal (about a mile), but one could rent a canoe, bike, or fish/crab, as well. Bug and fly repellent are a must. Discover for yourself the natural beauty of Jane's Island State Park in Crisfield, Maryland. I will be back! 🤗

We just spent 4 nice days at Janes Island. The park is beautiful with the mature pine forest. The sites are very well kept and have lots of room, which gives that added layer of privacy. We stayed away from the waters edge, which was the less popular section but quieter. Unfortunately, this time of year 7/10 - 7/14, the bugs were pretty active. It was too warm for campfires and sitting out all day, but in the evening it was very pleasant. We will return as this is one of the nicer places to stay on this side or Maryland. I would only ask that they give us more room to get into the dump station, and there was one tree that made for a tight turn in loop B. We are in a 35' 5th wheel. The park is close to town, I think about a mile to Food Lion and a few from all the restaurants at the docks. Thanks, Janes Island staff, for a nice stay. Best site in loop B #73
