Beautiful sand dunes and lake . Very good place for picnic , swimming and kayaking. The restrooms were extremely clean and well maintained.

Very nice very large place, over 400 spots. Very organized and the volunteers are very good and informative. Mybe some food items at the store but that doesn't take away from what this park offers. Some sites are not full hook ups, no black water at spot but there is a dump station.

Good campground with decently sized spaces and a nice forest. A little swampy in some areas during March and a lot of mosquitos. Easy to make last minute reservation if you have data, otherwise the wifi is difficult to load the booking on.

This was one of cleanest and most well maintained campgrounds I have ever stayed in. It is packed and was pretty busy most of our stay. We rented a yurt which I think is the way to go if you don’t have an RV, gives you a bit more privacy. Lots to do and see at the campsite and the surrounding areas including trails, dunes, swimming, and kayaking. The campground is patrolled by rangers and volunteers non stop, but they didn’t seem to be prohibiting people from enjoying themselves. I appreciated how secure the site was.

-This was my first visit to this very large, and busy campground. It was a beautiful state park with many trails and waterways and much more to do then camp!. Despite the campsites being fairly small and close together, I found a spot backed up to a forested area, providing a nice space to take my dogs exploring. I opted for the east side farthest away from the dunes and ATVs, but enjoyed driving to the dunes to watch them roar by. There is also a great birding area on the drive out to the south jetty and numerous access points directly to the beach. -The day-use area was a pleasant surprise, offering a lodge-type gathering building and outdoor patio with picnic tables right on the lake. There was also a fishing dock, kayak and boat rentals, swimming area, and sand board rentals. Something for everybody! While the proximity to Highway 101 and lack of privacy were drawbacks, the overall atmosphere of the campground was enjoyable, with a summer camp-like vibe that would be perfect for a family or group visit. I also appreciated the amenities of Oregon State Campgrounds as they are usually very well kept, have firewood available and have large bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets. -Despite the sometimes cramped sites and flurry of activity, I found the experience to be a fun change from my typical quiet nature get-a-way and I look forward to bringing my grandkids next time to do more then just camp!

My favorite place to camp. So much to do for adults and kids. Hiking, fishing, camping, swimming, kayaking, sandboarding, campfire. We have gone here for over 20 years. Hosts are fabulous and its clean. Bathrooms amd showers are kept up. Playground is just enough to keep kids busy and tire them out between everything else. Our favorite time to go is 4th of July!

Beautiful camp ground, very green, close to dunes. Loop H is mostly used by atv people. If you have a longer travel trailer, try to get a site that is angled for easier backing.

Packed in like sardines. This isnt camping. That along with the ridiculous burn ban on the coast leave this place with 1 star. When we reserved it said the tent pad was 20×20. When we arrived we found that it mist have included the non-useable fire ring. The way the site was situated you literally have no privacy. I had a similar experience at Detroit Lake state Park. Im just going to avoid them at this point. All in all a waste of 13 gallons of diesel.

We stayed in a yurt. Very spacious and clean. Rangers all over the place so it felt very safe as well

Very nice quiet park. We will definitely be staying there again.
