My family and I loved this museum! There was such a cool walk through feature with audio devices so you can listen along as you look at all the different pieces from Audubons life. It was like someone was telling you a story, but it was all real! There was even an art exhibit downstairs, a theater to watch some more history on Audubon, and some turtles in another room! The building is also just so cool and beautiful. The only downside, was that we walked a trail to the look out point and it was very lackluster, but that could've also been because it was nearly 100 degrees out and we were sweating to death. Besides that 10/10 experience. Audubon did some incredible work 🎨🙌🏻✨ Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I grew up in Owensboro, and had never visited here before. While I now reside in Florida, I visit Kentucky twice a year. In the summers, I stay longer with my kiddos, so I try to plan trips around the state. This time we visited here. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. We all marveled at the enormity of the trees (not many wide, old trees in Florida), and the flowers were also beautiful. The bird viewing room is exceptional. I saw many birds I had never seen before (although I am not a birder by any means). The hike to the lake was more difficult than I anticipated (I’ve lived in flat Florida for too long), but it was worth it. We even saw deer in the forest, and when we were leaving the grounds. I would definitely visit here again! Also, go in the theater and watch the movie before going into the museum. If you have kiddos, seeking out the fairy/gnome doors is a must!! Make sure to have your phone so you can scan the QR code to see who lives there.

We liked the trails and saw some deer on our walk as well which was cool. Kinda sucks trying to figure out where to park to get to the trail and not much walking room on the main road to get to the tail vs cars but it was doable. We enjoyed it and will definitely be walking the trails again. My special needs toddler enjoyed it and did amazing walking on them so win win.

Beautiful Park, Terrible Camping- the campgrounds are right on a 4 lane highway- its loud 24/7 from semi braking/engine noise, sirens (a lot!!!), loud cars/trucks, etc. There are way too many campsites crammed together in a fairly small loop. The site we booked was right on top of the playground, dumpster AND dump station. Not in the pics/description when we booked, the pic on the parks site shows a cleared area- there is now playground equipment there. Numerous people had dogs in pens that were left unattended to bark- all the time. Our fire pit was behind our camper/site, you can't move them as they are on bolts that are in concrete, even the campsite staff didn't understand its placement, they are moving it to the other side- once the weekend is over.......the guy working all weekend was great, the park itself is beautiful to hike in but the camping is not worth it.

My husband and I had the pleasure of being able to visit this beautiful park January 31st, 2025. We were not able to stay long because we had to head back to Michigan, we were only in town for the day for work but we will most definitely be back! The museum was very interesting I definitely wish I was able to spend more time there! The nature center was beautiful! They have so many activities to offer those who love history and nature! I wish I could give more feedback but in the short time we were able to spend there I was impressed. All the individuals working in the park were kind and informative i look forward to being able to visit again to explore the entire park!

Audubon is a convenient place since you're right on the strip in Henderson, KY. The sites are fairly level and one of the easiest places I've leveled up. Water and electricity are the only services provided at each site. So, if you're going to be there for any length of time, I recommend having an auxiliary waste tank. The bathhouse is ok, but it did not have hot water when we were there. The water hookups are >50' from most sites, so make sure you have a long enough hose. The grounds are very dusty with patchy grass. The hiking is moderately easy with well marked trails. The museum is worth the admission price. Overall, the campground is a fair choice, in my opinion. It is a great place for newbie campers to learn since there are numerous stores minutes away.

Well packed campground. Beach could use some sand and has lots of rocks on the concrete bottom, even after I cleared many of them out from the area where we were. Bathrooms are clean and the sunsets are great. Restaurant at Huticane Marina was closed when we were there, as were the other nearby restaurants. It was a Sunday and Monday though so didn't expect too much. Staff was friendly and helpful as were other campers we met. The playground was awesome. Good place for kids.

We stayed at Audubon State Park for the 2024 Solar Eclipse and really enjoyed our stay! The camping facilities were great -- the drive looks like it was recently repaved and our kids enjoyed riding their scooters during our stay! Nice playground for the kids at the camp site and covered pavilion available for use in case of weather. The rangers and park naturalists did some great activities for the Eclipse event which was a nice surprise! The park itself is beautiful and easily walkable to from the campground to access trails. My only complaint is that the campground is right at the entrance of the park so expect road noise during your camping stay. Another beautiful Kentucky State Park!

Absolutely beautiful park. The park currently has "Welcome Wednesdays" where admission to the museum and such are free. Nice gift shop, friendly staff. Nature center staff alerted to fact they were feeding animals, and we got to see a snake eat. Trails we went on are beautiful but very hilly. We did the Eagle Glen, and it was the hilliest of the few we hiked. We also took Warbler Road to Wilderness Lake trail and then branched off on Scenic Overlook trails. The overlook had beautiful views of the lake. We saw deer mulitple places, and ducks and lots of turtles at the lake. Also you can take stairs to the top of tower.

This was an absolutely amazing museum. The extensive timeline and the numerous prints and artworks were such high quality. I loved the area with bird feeders! We saw so many birds visiting in the few minutes we spent in that room. The staff were also so friendly and helpful. It was a great experience top to bottom.
