I grew up going to this park and now I got to camp at it! I love the new area. Very nice and clean.

We always have a great time! It's super cheap, clean, everyone is really friendly. There are plenty of things to do such as playgrounds, grills, the beach, peddle boats, hiking trails, camping... and you can get a years pass to 3 parks for like 50 bucks!

Friendly employees, plenty of parking, clean, and a nice place to spend a few hours or a whole day. It would have been 5-star worthy if the concession stand was open.

It's a bit small, but it's nice and clean. You can rent paddle boats and they have a concession stand that is open sometimes. They also have playgrounds and picnic tables.

Beautiful Park!!! Well taken care of and the staff is helpful and friendly.... Lots of outdoor activities for the whole family. Paddle boats, fishing, beach with lake, hiking trails, biking trails, and concrete trails, RV and tent camping, pavilions for rent, and lots of activities throughout the year!!!

I really like the park. Was my kids and I first time going. We had a great time. Although I was surprised how empty it is on hot days. Wondering if they know something I don't... But no complaints here

We love delivering inflatable bouncers to John Tanner Park. It’s a great place for school or private events. Call B&B Events and Rentals and we can deliver to your event at John Tanner Park.

Exceptional county park in Carroll County western Georgia. Spent three days, Fri-Sun. 32 Water/power only and 12 Full Hook-up (50amp). The 32 water/power sites are more rustic and some are limited in size and would be a challenge for larger rigs to maneuver. 7 and 27 would be the best, with 11 and 13 pull thru. The 50 amp only Full Hook-up sites are easy access and will accept any length RV with sites 7-11 lake view. Sites are only available by calling and reserving. There is not an online reservation process and all sites are first come first chosen. Gina will most likely take your call and she could not be more charming and helpful. There are safe, paved and lighted walking trails around the lake. The two lakes are stocked with fish and glass bottom boat clear. Putt-putt golf, paddle boats, swimming, group lodges, hiking, fishing are some of the activities available. The bath houses are a bit dated but well maintained. The water is hot and plentiful. One drawback is that the closest bathhouse is a long walk around the road from the Full Hook Up section. This park is serious about noise and cleanliness. The Camp Host is a real patriot, friendly and ready to help in a moments notice. Nearby City of Carrolton is charming and full of restaurants, arts and Farmers Markets. And for us, the biggest feature, is there is a Dollar General about 3 miles away! Haha We camped at John Tanner Park in a Travel Trailer.

Today’s visit was a fun one for us and we will definitely be back. Parking fee of just 5 bucks just like state parks but the state park pass isn’t valid here since it’s county management. Hopefully there will be paddle boats for us to use next time though; definitely calling ahead to check and get more info on how to rent one for an hour. It’s a great place to visit on a random weekend when nobody to an extra family is there. Highly recommended a beach umbrella and chairs. Didn’t give a 5 star because there was trash and a few huge chunks of glass on the sand…
