Pros: booking was simple and when wanting to extend our stay a couple more days before coming they found a way to not have us move halfway through to a different site which was super nice! Location was perfect. Right by Going to the Sun Road and had pretty good views (depending on your site). Cons: They just redid the septic and our hose (15ft) couldn’t reach it. Looks like it’s that way for all FHU sites. They put it in SO far from the water and electric box and right by the road which made us go buy another hose for extension from the office which was $40 in order to reach it. Showers - while we had FHU our friends did not and they had to buy coins for the showers. That’s not the bad part. They were only given 6 minutes (1 token) of showers per night they stayed. They were not able to get more. Laundry - $4/per cycle. Washer cycle $4. Dryer cycle $4. So expensive. The spaces between campers was a little cramped but I could let that one slide. Speaking of slides, this big berry bush made it so cramped and was scratching on our slide and windows whenever it was windy. Oh and we also got a kiddy sized picnic table!! 😂

My family of 8 were planning on tenting and parents were using a travel trailer to stay in or near Glacier. There were no available sites for all of us in the Park. This place was able to accommodate us though. It was close, a couple minutes from the east entrance. Plus of the campground was the view of St. Mary lake. Also had showers and bathroom, but be prepared to wait if in the morning or evening if it is full. We used the coin washer and dryer while there too. The tent sites were wooded, grass, tables and fire pit. My parents trailer site didn't have a fire pit. One night in the tents neighbors got loud with Rave music and cheering...but I put on loud white noise to keep kids asleep. Overall, this was a good experience and would recommend it. But our preference would be to have a place where we could walk to a lake or river. A close place to drive and hangout by the lake on the stone shoreline was a short walk down the beaver dam trail on the east side of the lake before the entrance.

Family owned campground & diner with the best hilltop views less than a mile from the Glacier National Park entrance. Super friendly staff. Well maintained. Great food.

Spring time is the best time to visit, The campground had plenty of spaces available, a little more crowded on the upper level camp area. I would classify this as rustic counry. The cabins are so adorable, I would give this adorable campground five stars but they do need several updates. The office staff was so amazing and fun to visit with.. If you want to go to the restaurant and want gluten-free, don't bother, but it is decorated so adorable. The views are ten star, hands down.

A great location with a terrific view of Glacier across the valley, an older campground and the spaces are a bit close together, bathrooms and showers are dated ..... but work fine, wifi is acceptable if you have a booster or sit down outside the office on the picnic tables to access it. ( it is an older mom and pop campground) the staff interaction was great, no complaints at all , we would and will stay here again upon revisiting Glacier.

First the positives - great location, close to Glacier Park Going to the Sun entrance. Lots of amenities on site, including a nice restaurant. Now the other comments - it is a large lot, with all options for stays. The tough part is the sites are not level (at all) especially on the hill where we were placed. We had an issue with our scissor jacks sliding and needed a tow truck in the morning to assist. We noticed our neighbor camper that pulled in asked for a new spot, due to the non level ground. The owners (assuming they the older gentleman that came from the shop) were not very pleasant or helpful (although the staff was). One of the men commented rudely about our dogs. Overall, it’s all about location and we heard the restaurant is good.

If you’re coming to Glacier, this is the only campground you need to stay at. Restrooms, Showers, Wi-fi, Laundromat, great views and clean amenities everywhere. There is amazing cell phone reception everywhere around this area and best of all, food, groceries and the Sun Road entry are all within a mile from here. Great stop for camping if one plans to hike from either Logan Pass or Many Glacier. The best campground in and around Glacier, period.

This place has a beautiful view. The food was good. The staff is very friendly. But the wfy didn’t work looks like it never does. They probably say that to everyone but have no intention to fix it but you still pay 55 dollars a night. The grass could have been cut around the sites. Still had a good time at glacier Montana.
