Joli Voyageur Resort & Campground in Lavigne, Ontario offers travelers a traditional northern Ontario outdoor experience situated along the region's famous waterways. This destination puts visitors directly in touch with the rugged Canadian Shield landscape, making it a natural stop for road-trippers navigating secondary highways through the Nipissing district.
Location & Surroundings
Reaching this part of Ontario typically involves driving along Highway 64, which winds through rural communities and dense woodlands north of Lake Nipissing. The terrain features granite outcrops, mixed coniferous forests, and numerous interconnected river basins. Weather in this northern latitude brings warm summer days followed by crisp evenings, with autumn foliage drawing travelers eager to experience vibrant canopy shifts across the West Nipissing region.
Amenities & Park Features
Because property-specific details cannot be assumed without an official manifest, visitors should contact the management directly to confirm essential site configurations. When calling ahead, be sure to ask about specific rv hookup types, electrical amperages, water availability, and pull-through versus back-in site access. Inquiring about on-site dump stations, washroom facilities, and waterfront access ensures your rig matches the terrain layout before arrival.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The surrounding landscape is defined by the historic French River Provincial Park, known for its extensive network of canoeing and boating routes. Anglers frequently target the local waters for walleye, northern pike, and bass, utilizing nearby public boat launches. Day trips can easily extend toward Sturgeon Falls or North Bay for supplies, local dining, and regional museums celebrating the rich logging and Indigenous history of the area.
Who This Park Is Best For

Quaint little trailer park with peaceful, relaxed vibes. Mostly seasonal sites, with some transient campsites available. Nice family atmosphere with a pool, a beach, a playground, and organized social activities. They also have some trailers, bunkies, and rooms available as well. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. When we arrived at the entrance to the Campground, it was quite obvious that this Campground was very well cared for. When we checked-in Carole met us with a smile and some friendly chit chat and then informed us to follow Rodney up to the site. On getting situated, there was an issue with my RV. Rodney and a couple of seasonal campers quickly resolved the issue and Rodney then directed me to park my RV in his private site beside his home. He dedicated his attention to my getting set up for the night. One couldn't ask for better service and treatment of a customer. Carole and Rodney Wolfe own and operate a campground second to none. I highly recommend Joli Voyageur Resort and Campground for short or longer stays.

I got an unserviced tent site for the long weekend and it was amazing. Very reasonably priced. Enclosed with a parking spot. Very private but close to the washrooms. Very friendly. Owners are amazing. It was my first time camping there and will definitely not be my last. Cell service also outstanding. I highly recommend. 😀
