Friendly and informative staff! Clean bathrooms and campsites were well maintained. Convenient location to Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. Bring earplugs, the coyotes are loud at night!

Just far enough out that there's very little city light corruption that usually spoils good star gazing. It's dark here at night and if you look up you'll see more stars, that seem brighter than ever before. Still close enough to hit the many shops in town. They offer military discounts of 20% (Feb 12, 2026). We are on the tailend of a month long camping trip and we normally stay a few days at each location, but because of the peaceful nature, no noise or light pollution at night, we keep extending our stay. The staff are all very helpful and make you feel welcomed to their grounds. This is a camping area we will be staying at whenever we go to San Diego to visit family because it's exactly 1/2 way for us. There is no other place we have been able to stay at for $48 a night for full electric, water and on site sewer hookup. We couldn't pick up many channels with a air antenna on the TV but there is service at the site through Verizon and AT&T (have a phone through each because AT&T works better in Arizona house, Verizon works at farm home in Alabama) Brochure says there is wifi and it does show a very strong signal to a local internet provider. The only area for improvement I observed at this campground is the demeanor of the individual at the service desk, who was not very welcoming. I believe additional training or a review of customer service standards may be beneficial. Aside from that, the rest of the staff was excellent, with Mia being particularly helpful. Thank you, Mia, for assisting us in securing an additional night’s spot across from our original location. The service desk staff member assigned us to the wrong site, which was four spots further away, but Mia kindly resolved the issue. The bathrooms and showers were consistently clean, and the showers were particularly excellent, especially compared to others I have used. We plan to return to this campground in the future, and I hope there will be a change at the service desk to enhance the guest experience.

November 2025. 4 years of vanlife! I had no problems here. I arrived and hour early because I was still using Arizona time. But I was able to check in. The staff here were perfectly mannered. Noone was yelling and shouting as one person said. (Im sure they are just upset because they couldn't do as they please.) Everyone was helpful. And they even found a way to help me fulfill my van needs. The showers are closed for a bit for cleaning in the AM. These showers are modern and mint. Ill take the short closure over the mainly disgusting bathrooms Ive seen in many other places. They close the gate at night so if you go out late that is SLIGHTLY inconvenient. But I prefer the security of it over anyone being able to come in. The place is quite good sized. They have everything from full service RV trailer spots all the way down to dry camping tent sites. Trash. Water. Bathrooms. And showers are for all guests. It only cost me 15 bucks for a dry tent site for the night. Keeping in mind NPSs new rates are at least 20 a night, Ill take this. And its wonderful to take a shower after a dirty day of hiking the desert! My site had a working picnic table and fire barrel. I used the GPS coordinates on their website and my Garmin brought me right here. Just be aware that Garmin calls the road by a different name. Joshua Tree National Park road is just a stones throw from here. As well you arrive within 10 miles from good 'ol Walmart. Even if you're not a guest you can separately pay for showers (10 bucks) and RV dumps. Keep in mind truck stops get 18 for a shower in unsafe and often filthy environments. Im recommending this place. Id have no problem staying here again.

We really enjoyed our one night stay here. The staff is great! We called rather late, 9pm, with questions before arriving and they answered on the 2nd ring. Very helpful and friendly! Camp site was spacious, flat, with easy hookups and the shower was clean with great water pressure. We even enjoyed some nice stargazing! We would stay here again :)

We stayed here this weekend (just left today, Sunday) and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with the staff. On the first night, a security guy showed up completely out of control, using profanity and demanding we turn off music that was at a very low volume. The wind was so strong that night you could barely hear anything outside, but still he was aggressive and extremely disrespectful. On the second night, we knew quiet hours started at 10pm. Around 9pm, we were simply playing guitar, singing, and enjoying a happy moment with our kids when a woman arrived in a golf cart, yelling at us and speaking in a very rude and aggressive manner. This was not only before quiet hours, but also so extreme that even our children were scared by her behavior. The staff was not friendly at all and has no sense of professionalism in the way they approach paying guests. After reading other reviews, we saw that many people had similar experiences, so this is clearly not an isolated incident. For the price we paid, we expected a much better environment. We do not recommend this place at all and will definitely not return.

Beautiful location and very friendly staff. The prices to dump, fill water and shower make it cheaper to stay the night probably. $10 showers, $20 dump station and I think 15 for trash. I only gave it a 3 for price. It's a beautiful place that offers day activities and there is blm near, so I would expect them to be a little more day user/services friendly price wise.

This RV park is located just 5 miles off Highway 62, it’s far enough from the road that there’s no traffic noise at night — incredibly peaceful. The full hookup sites are nicely separated by lush foliage, which provides a real sense of privacy. It was such a treat to keep our shades open without staring straight into another RV. Our spot was roomy and easy to access. The whole campground is clean and well-maintained. Thanks to the trees and greenery, even when the wind picked up, we didn’t get any dust blowing through. The small lake on the property adds a charming touch and makes for a pleasant evening stroll. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We have T-Mobile and had service the entire time. We had no issues with the WIFI. All in all, a great place to stay while visinting Joshua Tree National Park, which is about 15 miles away.

We really enjoyed our stay here over Easter Weekend. The grounds were really well maintained and the front office staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We loved the small general store they had on site and the duck pond was really relaxing. Our daughter loved feeding the ducks and running around - we even saw a rabbit hopping around! The campsite seem like they would be close together but they way it's set up, your spot feels very private and all other campers were very courteous during quiet hours. The staff even hosted an Easter Egg Hunt during our stay which was a hit with our daughter! We will absolutely be staying here again the next time we are in the area.

Nice little manicured and on grid camp ground. Appreciate the tree per tent spot so I can set up under the morning shade. Had a blast at the on-site reggae festival. Cam see stars at night! Yay! :)

Camping: The campground is good with clean showers and flush toilets. There are plenty of RV and tent camping sites available. It can get little crowded over weekend or if there is an event. Otherwise it is a good campsite for Solo campers or family with beautiful night sky views. Rate: Tent camping - $15/night Reservation: I drove in and found a spot the same day without reservation. You've good chances of getting a spot on arrival if there is no event. Parking: All campsites are drive in. There is also parking available otherwise. Access: It is about 9miles (15mins) drive from the town of Joshua tree. Very easily accessible via paved roads. It is around 35-40 mins drive from the west entrance of the Joshua tree national park.

We had a great experience here. We were hoping to camp in the park but realized we probably wouldn’t be so lucky with our timing so we booked here the day before. We stayed a Friday and Saturday night. Friday night there was a concert in the “casagogo” venue next door which was very loud. We weren’t bothered, but there were people up walking around, yelling, laughing, drinking, etc. until 5am. It was significantly quieter on Saturday night when there wasn’t an event. Something definitely worth noting. The bathrooms and showers were clean and close to our campground. We stayed in Central Park Tent Site 4. I enjoyed having more space since we were on the end. The staff was very friendly. The stars were absolutely breathtaking at night. About a 15 minute drive from the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center. We enjoyed our time here!

What an amazing experience we went out there for a reggae show ended up making a whole bunch of friends. The event was held without incident had a blast there were several vendors set up throughout and security was on point. Things were in the desert so it was dirty it was fun it was happy it was great couldn't ask for anything better. The dub shack and Joshua tree lake campground combined put on something that we've been missing forever. A place to hang out with like-minded individuals and have fun. If you're ever to hold an event like a reggae concert or a metal concert or rap concert call Joshua lake campground they got plenty of room badass stage great lights security parking anything you could ask for. My company Bell ringers was part of the vendors and never had more of a professional atmosphere. Face it promotions approved

Definitely a great place to stop for the night. There is a little lake that is full of ducks. There is a lot of cool architecture. There is a dish washing station and great bathrooms, 10/10 would recommend
