To address a previous review that was about low branches from a year ago, as of June 2024 we drove our 30 ft long 13ft 5in high 5th wheel in full circle before picking our spot. There are no issues with low branches. Seems the best campsites for larger rvs are sites 50 and higher. What a great stop here at Wooden Frog.

Wooden frog is peaceful and so beautiful. We stayed mid October. They don’t take reservations. It’s first come first serve, but 6 of the available 61 drive in sites were available. They turn off water at the beginning of October, but it not a big issue as they have pit toilets that were clean enough. We loved this campground and would return!

We didn't stay at the hotel or the campground. We used the boat landing to be able to access the water and get to a nearby island. The landing is very nice, it's used by many people. There is a restroom there for use as well and if you walk to the opposite side of the landing you can also access the water and there's a nice grassy area. We've used this landing multiple times. Very convenient!!

Location is great, there are some campsites on the lake and many more in the woods. My only complaint is that $17 /night feels too expensive considering there’s no regular bathroom, one small pit toilet only for a large portion of the campground

I loved this campground. I know a lot of people won't think this is great, but you are not packed in side by side. There are lots of trees and privacy. There's no dump station or electricity, but there's potable water. There is a restaurant and boat launch close by along with picnic area and small beach.

Beautiful campground. Many tree filled and spacious sites. Great views along the shoreline trail. Clean vault toilets.

It is exactly as it states. Great trails to walk. And very clean. We’ll be back!!

Wasn't crowded on labor day weekend. There's very few sites with obscured water views and $17/ night is a little pricey (especially with no showers and just outhouses) , but it did the trick! Did I mention it wasn't crowded? Extra star just for that.

We ate lunch at the Arrow Head Lodge. The walleye sandwich and fries was FANTASTIC!!!!! Not easy to find but worth the effort.

We stopped for lunch on a local recommendation, and we were not disappointed! Our group had a walleye sandwich, the lumberjack burger, and pizza. All were EXCELLENT!! We highly recommend this stop, whether you're in the boat or car!!
