Wonderful place stayed at site 94 and it’s good for 2cars and a big tent for 8-10 people

Beautiful campground with excellent Campground hosts. Katrina and her team were excellent and keep this beautiful campground spotless, safe and family friendly.

Lake Kachess Campground is a peaceful, forested retreat nestled along the shores of a stunning alpine lake. Just off I-90, it’s easy to reach but feels miles away from everything. The campsites are spread across shady loops, offering plenty of privacy and space for tents or small RVs. The lake itself is crystal clear—perfect for swimming, kayaking, and fishing—with mountain views that make early mornings feel magical. There’s a family-friendly vibe, and trails like the Lakeshore Trail are great for casual hikes. While amenities are basic (mostly vault toilets, no hookups, and spotty maintenance), the natural beauty more than makes up for it. Be ready for chilly nights, limited cell service, and potential fire restrictions in summer. If you’re looking for a quick escape into nature without going too deep into the backcountry, Kachess hits the mark.

Gorgeous campground with many incredible camping spots. Clean bathrooms and access to some great day hikes (Rachel Lake).

Beautiful campground, the site are always perfect. Quick access to the lake depends on which campsite that you book. The woman who greeted us at the booth was very knowledgeable and it was exciting to hear that they had a store on site any necessities you may have forgotten. This lake is stunning.

Arrived on a Friday around lunchtime and was lucky to score site #77 in the First Come First Serve "Lodge" loop. The site was large and relatively private, hosts were super friendly and helpful. Although no utilities at sites the water spigots were plentiful throughout. Toilets are a bit of a hike (particularly from this site) but the site was worth it.

Going back to camp here after years did not disappoint. Got to share this beautiful landscape with my daughter and made some great memories. The park is well maintained and offers very private campsites. Easy access to the lake and amenities. Camp staff is very friendly and working hard to ensure the park is around for many generations to come.

Beautiful area to camp. Nice size spots that are clean and a great lake to float in all day! Looking forward to going back next year. Didn't see anyone patrolling the area and regulating things. There were a few camp sites with fires even though it's prohibited.

Kachess Lake, campground and scenery is absolutely beautiful and peaceful in every way! The Managers and employees of this campground were VERY RUDE, and it started from the moment we arrived at the check in booth. We were supervised by a camp host that was living on our campsite at all times. (The camp host was nice) We tried to talk to them about it, and they’re excuse was that “past guests were disrespectful, loud and lighting fires in an unsafe way”. Been coming here for 30 years and will never go back!

Love this place. You use to be able to get in for day use with a NW Forest Pass, but it seems it's now managed by a new company in California and they no longer accept the pass. What a shame, we loved going up here all summer.
