Nice park. Clean and the sites are set up nicely.

I have stayed here twice, once in season, and once a bit out. Both times, we found this campground to be amazing. Sites are decent sized. We only need power and water, but they do have full hookups as well. We stayed most recently for their Halloween at the campground event, and we were blown away at all the activities for kids AND grownups. Great staff, nice location up north, and well worth the visit.

This was a great campground for us. We went to Traverse City and Torch Lake, using Kalkaska as a home base. Joe. Campground Mgr, was even nice enough to check our fridge when we got a warm alert, saving us a 30 minute drive back to campground. Hiking trails were nice.

This campground had a good vibe! I called the owner because I had a change of plans suddenly and needed a place to set my tent for the night. Joe was friendly, the facilities were clean, the tent site I was assigned was perfect! From the small conversation I had with the owner, the camp ground has been around for 50+ years, they bought it in 2019. I really think they are doing a great job. So glad I decided to go here! The trail in the back was so fun to walk during sun set!

We absolutely love it here! We drive up from Indiana, almost 5 hours just to camp here. This was our second time coming up and it's great every time. We camp in the rustic area in tents. It's nice and secluded away from the campers, which is what we like. My parents stayed in a cabin in the park this time and were very complementary of it. They have a very nice general store, bathrooms, and shower houses that are open 24 hours. Price is very reasonable. The locations is great, right outside of town but back in the woods. Joe and the rest of the team are great and very nice to talk to and have great recommendations and things to do in the area. We will continue to camp here, great place all around.

Very nice campground. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Wife, son, dog and I all made friends and enjoyed our stay. Pool and shower/bathrooms were kept clean. Very good chance they will see us next year

We loved this campground and will definitely be coming back! We had a rustic tent site and it was in the back of the park. Our site (as well as all the other sites around us) was very spacious and surrounded by trees which we thoroughly appreciated! The bathrooms and showers were very well kept and the staff in the front office were super helpful and friendly! It was just the two of us this time but you could tell that it was a great place to bring your family and children too as well!

One of my top favorite campgrounds while we've been traveling the country! The owners are friendly, the campground is well maintained and there's lots to do on the grounds; swimming, shaded walking trails behind the campground, volleyball, dog walking area (wish it was fenced for off-leash walks though), playground for kids, pool table in rec room, and nice camp store. The sites are well spaced with lots of trees for shade. It has an outdoorsy nature feel versus a parking lot campground. There's full hook-ups, cabins and rustic sites for tents. Love, love, love it here!

Beautiful private campground. Pool at main lodge. Lots of hiking trails. Campsite are spacious and equipped with a fire ring for campfires. Utilities are available on many sites, as well as a couple cabins. Our cabin came equipped with dual lofts and also half-size refrigerator, picnic table, air conditioning and heat. Our cabin could potentially sleep 8 people having 6 individual beds and a futon in the main room that could comfortably sleep 2 adults. Note: the lofts are best left for the kids due to lack of headroom clearance. Futon in main area, refrigerator and picnic tables in main living area, and a semi private master bedroom for the adults. Old growth trees on rolling hills and beautiful scenery. Wildlife abound. This campground exemplifies the best that Northern Michigan camping has to offer. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kalkaska RV Park and Campground. 5-stars.
