I had two sites reserved for the weekend in Sept. First thing that we was noticed was that the flowers and plants in the driveway and office/store were dead. Those plants were always the first welcome to Kalumet. Although the girl working the desk was not rude, she did nothing to welcome us. I don't think she even got up out of the chair. We got our gate key and paperwork and went to our sites. Before setting up camp, we went to the restrooms (at the back of the campground). The restrooms were beyond dirty. They were filthy to the point of being unsanitary. One of the toilets was plugged with waste and toilet paper and close to over flowing. This was reported immediately at the office (Friday, 4:00 PM). When we left on Sunday at 11:00 AM, the bathrooms had not been cleaned nor the toilet unplugged. Overflowing trash cans, barking dogs and no dog poop bags was another notable issue. While checking out Sunday morning, we used the restrooms by the office. They too were filthy and also had had plugged toilet (Men's room). I did not bother reporting it. Myself and my siblings have been camping Kalumet for nine years. Never have we experienced problems like this. With the increase of your rates and the new reservation system going into effect soon, we will be checking out the other campgrounds in the area.

Very disappointed. This was always our favorite campground but last weekend was horrible. The pool was filthy and full of bugs- I had to skim it myself just to swim. The WiFi was down all weekend and there is no cell service if there is any emergency there was no way to get ahold of anyone. A water line broke and they shut the water off for a while which I’m sure can happen anywhere but with all the other issues it just added to the list. Worst of all it smelt like sewage the entire weekend, every 5 mins you would get a whiff of sewage and it made it horrible to even sit by the fire. We definitely won’t be going back any time soon.

We like the place so much we go up many times doing summer. Employees in office r so friendly. It is quite and relaxing. Pool and shower room are clean. Pool is salt water. It seems not to hurt eye and dry out skin. Plus wife loves it because it doesn't bleach out bathing suits. There is a game room plus u can buy pizza and wings.

We stayed in our own travel trailer, so we have no opinion on any rooms. It was very peaceful. The staff was helpful and friendly. The pool was cleaned and well maintained. I was a little disappointed that the ice cream and pizza was closed in the first part of the week. But it was fun over the weekend.
