Easy going place to stay. Very nice staff and not to far from lake chelan. Will definitely be staying here again.

False advertisement. Period. Old trailers say 55 a night. Newer trailer says 80 a night. I called before I drove all the way up there. No answer. Drove up there and called a different number on the wall. Waited 20 minutes for someone to show up. Starts taking my info down and then tells me it's 150 a night for the newer trailer. What?? He's like yeah we haven't changed that in like 10 years on the website. Isn't that literally false advertisement then? You're a business and admit to not changing the price in the add? Seems illegal. 2 mosquito bites in the 20 minutes we were there. Probably a good thing though. Seems like a drug infested people up all night kinda place like others who actually stayed the night mentioned.

Great private location with secluded lake off of the main road. Large campsites and our host Tray was amazing! Northern lights are visible over the lake, boat rentals available and very clean bathrooms with hot showers. Small ice/snack shop on premises. No fires allowed so bring a gas grill. Highly recommend.

Update All the hotels and motels at Lake Chelan are booked for the weekend and the 4th of July, 2023. I decided to call Kamei Campground and was able to talk to John. As soon as he told me that a trailer was ably available, I booked it with him right away. John then passed me to Rita so she can process my credit card over the phone. She was also wonderful to talk to. The night was so windy and I'm glad I'm able to stay in a nice, clean trailer. The next morning I met John and his father Fred, he was awesome to talk to. He gave me a bit of history on Kamei Campground. The campground currently has two trailers operational and John is working on the third trailer. The Kamei Campground is a bit outdated, so if you have any questions be sure to call the office directly. John would mainly be the one that picks up the phone. Otherwise, you'll get Rita. The place has some fishing supplies such as ice and worms you can buy. Life jackets you can rent. If you rent a trailer for the night or weekend, be sure to bring your pillows, blanket, and your food, and water. The campsite provides the rest; a sleeping bed, a restroom with a sink, and a shower. The sofa, dining table, kitchen sink, stove, and fridge are inside the trailer. It was an awesome experience. Thanks to John and his father Fred for keeping the place clean and operational after all these years. ====== Kamei Resort is one of my best past campgrounds at Wapato Lake. My family and I used to camp here year after year. The staff was friendly, and this place occupies every weekend. As the families moved on, the employees we knew passed away, and we have not been to Kamei Campground & RV Park in a long while. I decided to drop by this weekend and do some fishing on Monday. It's a little quiet, and the office is closed. To launch a boat costs $5.00. By following the honor system, I left the cash with a couple with a bulldog from Portland, Oregon. They said they would give it to JJ. So that was nice of them to help out while the office closed. I’m happy to see folks camping at this resort, and it’s nice to launch the boat from there.

It's peaceful here, boats can be rented cheap and fishing is very popular here. Suprisingly, the bathrooms were clean, but the walls and ceiling were clearly not maintained. The most important thing to bring here is mosquito repellant, all the better if you have traps. Overall, this is a very modest place to camp with few compensations.
