I was visiting a friend, but this was a very nice clean campground with lots of space near the lake and I would definitely go back and visit. I loved it.

It's so big! There is so much to do from caves to trails to fishing camping and more.. no way you won't love the days spent out there

Nice quiet place to stay. We will return another time.

Stayed at the Riverside campground at Kanopolis Lake for the night. The campground is quiet. The crushed rock sites are mostly level. There's plenty of trees. Our site offered water and electric. A dump station is on-site. 1. Make sure you eat your dinner before dark. The bugs are plentiful and seek out any light. 2. There is a sign at the entrance with a small CoE logo.

Nice, Shady campground. We were disappointed that the grass was not mowed before the holiday weekend, and unfortunately, since the reservation was made in January we did not realize there were 2 giant Mulberry trees over our spot which made a mess inside the camper, even with constant sweeping, and outside by covering our car, truck and camper with berries and stains from bird poop. The almost total lack of both TV and internet reception was also an added aggravation. Good weather and good times with friends and family were the saving grace for the weekend. We will probably not return to this particular camping area without being assured of a few changes in care and maintenance.

Bathrooms clean. Showers are nice and hot. Fire pits not cleaned after use. Full of cans and garbage. Very noisy during the day as fighter jets flying low.

Didn't actually camp. Just went to hunt for mushrooms. Didn't find very many unfortunately, due to the controlled burn that had just been done.

Nice place. Baths clean. Some sites are better than others. Site 11 not so good, no shade. Sites 15,16,17 look great. Nothing really in area. Fishing in river is popular. Frisbee golf looked good. Quiet place.

Riverside park is a pretty nice park with good space between campers. Some of the other parks we explored for future visits were very cramped for space and several roads need trees trimmed back because they are too low to get campers through without getting hit by the limbs.
