Location & Surroundings

Situated just a short drive north of the village of Nakusp, the campground sits within a scenic mountain valley surrounded by lush forests. The property is positioned along Highway 23, offering easy access to the village while maintaining a sense of seclusion. The park is designed to accommodate various RV sizes, offering full hookup sites that include water, sewer, and both 30 and 50 amp electrical service. For larger rigs, the spacious pull-through sites ensure ease of maneuverability and quick setup. On-site facilities include clean washrooms, hot showers, and laundry equipment. Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Nakusp is famous for its geothermal activity, and staying here puts you minutes away from both the Nakusp Hot Springs and the Halcyon Hot Springs. Outdoor recreation is abundant, with local trails for hiking and mountain biking nearby. The Arrow Lakes offer opportunities for fishing, boating, and swimming, while the village of Nakusp features a scenic waterfront walkway and unique local shops to explore during the day.

There's no chickens! (The website indicated roaming free-range chickens which is what broke the tie between this campground and another one, but they no longer have chickens. They should update their site!). The RV parking is "American-style" like a parking lot. It's gross to have your picnic table right next to the black-water/sewer hole of your neighbour. The host was lovely and extra helpful! Would go again, but it's a stop-over, not a destination.

We loved our stay at KBR Campground. Super convenient location and very well maintained and clean. The bathrooms were immaculate! The owners are super friendly and welcoming. We’ll be back for sure as Nakusp is one of our favourite places to camp and explore in the summer. Highly recommend staying here if you want a chill vibe close to town and the hot springs.

My spouse and I drove in, picked a site, and booked 2 nights. The next morning, we booked another night. The campground is well taken care of, Christy was a delight and so helpful, but it was their important message that made me feel like this was a great campground. Next time we are in the sweet little town of Nakusp, we will definitely stay at KBR.

Went to KBR for my sister's wedding. My family stayed in the campground for a few days after the wedding, and it was one of the best camping experiences I've ever had. The hosts/owners (Christy and Mike) are absolutely amazing. The sites are all clean and easily accessible. Power and water at most sites. Definitely recommend staying here, even if you're just passing through and stay for 1 night, you will not regret it!

This is by far the best quiet campground we have ever stayed at. Our daughter was married here June 08 2025 and the set up Christy and Mike with 2 of the 3 children are hard workers and keep this place just beautiful. My children have all decided Christy is my new best friend. I'm Ok with that! Come enjoy your time here.
