Visit this park one a month. Love the views and scenery! Remote location gets you away from the busy city life and in tune with nature. Lodge is nice, restaurant is nice, cabins are nice!! Highly recommend!!

If you are into quirky 1950's era resorts and hotels this place is a charmer, on Kentucky Lake, with great access to Land Between the Lakes and Murray. Lodge and cottages available, I always take a cottage as the extra space and kitchen is worth it. The hotel has got that old times feel that I absolutely love. The views from the pool, back porch, and restaurant are peacful. Usually, they're not very busy in the off-season. Friendly staff.

I have stayed here several times. We rent a cabin and they are very comfortable and quiet. Each cabin has a screen porch with different views. Last time we had a view of the water. The food at the lodge is great and the service is amazing. Everyone is friendly and professional.

I saw some other reviews and yes, the lodge and grounds have kept their quirky midcentury charm which I love because it reminds me of the golden age where our state parks and recreational areas were beloved. If you would visit more often, they’d get renovations!! I love our state parks’ lodges and cottages. If that turns you off, fine. BUT the staff and hospitality are second to none. From the front desk to restaurant to bar, the staff were friendly, helpful, but most of all welcoming. I recently attended a ‘murder mystery’ weekend and we had a blast. The entertainment was enthralling and it was so fun to mingle with the other guests and share clues. The food was extremely tasty and thoughtfully prepared. I have dietary restrictions and the staff exceeded my expectations. There were event themed cocktails that were only $6! I live in Nashville and the same cocktails would be $20+. Our room was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. I appreciated that you could actually open the screened windows and enjoy the breeze and sounds of nature. I really hope they host future events like this- I’ve told all my friends about the fun we had. We also enjoyed the hiking trails, nature stations, and other numerous attractions in the park. 10/10!!!

I helped out with tornado relief and stayed at a cottage at this state park. Despite the situation (the park was filled to capacity with displaced persons and volunteers) the park staff worked hard at being excellent hosts. It's a beautiful setting overlooking the lake. I told them I will return for a few days when things are back to normal because we will enjoy ourselves at this park.

It was so beautiful. My cousin got married there. We had family in that park from 7 different states. Both bride and groom family rented the cabins. The cabins were so clean and the staff is very friendly. I heard some family stayed in the Lodge and that was nice too. I highly recommend Kenlake state park for any family gatherings!
