Great KOA. Spacious the sites are level. Hosts very friendly. Great place for over nite. Right off highway but you did not hear it. Good location if heading to or from Yellowstone.

A very good place to stop on your travel journey. We only stayed one night on our way back home. We had a hot water line break on our trip so we have been taking showers at campgrounds. I was very impressed with how clean the restroom and shower areas were. Nice hot water! The overall campsite is quiet and relaxing. A fair price for supply and demand. The customer service my wife was provided was great!

We did a short overnight here. We were able to book online with ease up until day of. Easy access, not far from 90 but no trouble sleeping. Great for passing through but needs some TLC for kiddos expecting a newer KOA. The playground has seen its better days. It might be better if they convert this to an overnight RV stay park- make easier money and maximize clientele.

We stayed here overnight in August 2025. This was a decent park. There were some roads that may need maintenance, but in general this park was fine for an overnight. Not a lot going on in the metropolis of Kennebec, SD - I believe a train went through and that was the highlight of the day. The pool was nice, with a depth of 9 feet, so it's a real pool not just a puddle. Staff was friendly. One negative is they have an anti-gun policy in their rules which needs to be revised / replaced.

We have been staying at campgrounds from California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. This one was one of the most expensive and it didn’t deliver. $85 for a rundown spot that didn’t meet KOA standards. We have stayed at a few KOA’s now and I was considering applying for their rewards program…they are more expensive than other places but they consistently deliver. This place needs maintenance. Weeds growing all over the dingy pool area, the kids wading pool wasn’t in operation, the laundry was more expensive than any other campground that we have stayed at and the facilities were lame. If it was priced at 45$ then maybe it would have been fine, but not for $85 and not for being a “KOA” campground. Should have stayed at the campground in Presho or Chamberlain. Nice people who own it - but they either need to lower the price or hire an extra hand to maintain the grounds. Money is definitely coming in, there just isn’t any being invested back into the property.
