I will def be back! But note taken..do NOT camp in 600s if you want true peace and quiet…too close to the RVs. Some jack wagon brought a tv set up to watch outside..then had a crying baby..they were lat nighters too. I was limited on sites with trees for my hammock set up but now I know..rather sleep on the ground at that point! There’s so many sites though! They’re very pretty..and mostly private. The bike trail is pretty, takes you to Mauthe Lake. Didn’t realize I was by the coveted cinnamon roll guy! Cannot wait for those in the am 🤗 Ps. Cinnamon rolls are amazing 🤩

Nice lake ! Watch out for horse flies in July! Need to try the 6.5 mile bicycle trail to Mauthe lake and see what lake you like best!!

We sit up a Parks On The Air amateur radio station, all solar & batteries. Nice, clean park, and I would recommend visiting or camping.

Not bad but not enough for 4 or 5 stars. Southern unit of Kettle Moraine is better. There was a small visitors center that did not seem to have much unlike the big nice one at Southern unit. There were nit many trails at this location and because of rain we had to leave early before getting to them. The map shows toilets but they are kind of hidden from view. Our site was very muddy to begin with but was manageable. It became harder to deal with the morning it rained and we became water logged. The fire pit was ok save for it being a bit small and the cooking grate was bent, not easy to use, and small also. Furthermore, the entry to the site was angled opposite to the direction of traffic which weird. What was nice is they had ice and firewood that took cards. The beach was pretty and large but had a lot of seaweed on the perimeter. The property seemed really disjointed and spread out. The toilets were fine and not far off but typical pit ones with strange bugs. Never got to try the showers. Also the freshwater spigot had a weird tick to it so be careful! Staff was friendly and helpful though.

Oct 31st place was empty by the fish pier only saw 1 other person it was fantastic color and beauty very nice day

Nice lake. Getting wet launching and loading because lake is high. Caught and released 3 lb bass at dusk.

Writing as a touring cyclist. The 600 loop was decent. Campsites offer partial shade at best. Some campsites have a partition in the form of vegetation while others do not. Showers were nice, and in general the bathrooms were well kept. Water from fountains (blue in color) was fine, but water from the locations immediately adjacent to the restrooms had a very potent punch of minerals.
