We’ve had a seasonal site at Kilby Lake Campground for several years and couldn’t be happier. It’s clean, well maintained, and very family-friendly. Our kids and dogs love it here. The lake is beautiful, the staff is awesome, and the community atmosphere makes it a place we plan to keep coming back to year after year.

We were just passing through, made a a reservation at 11pm for that night. Only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because the emailed directions say when you arrive, drive to your camp site. However there is a gate that you need a code for. The only phone number in the email went to voice mail. Once we arrived, then there was a phone number at the gate. Other than that, GREAT facility! Very convenient to use the back in sites right in front with the bathrooms very close by (but not too close). Convenient dump station.

Worst campground I've ever been to. No hospitality, you are on their time. Was told we could do early check in and was given wrong code to gate, which he blamed on signal even though he repeated twice when we called about early arrival, and then refused to answer phone for 20 mins while we were trying to get in because his baby was sleeping even though we had dogs in our truck in 86° sun. The only amenity they have is a pool and a super cheap playground. The pool is open when they choose. If it's too cold for them or they think it might storm they close it for the whole day since it's normally not even open for 9 hours. The best amenity is moon lake and that's not even part of the campground. The wood you buy is $5 for about 6 pieces of kindling, It'll last you about 3 hours if you're lucky and that's if it's dry. Also if you like being watched and snuck up on this is a great place. The owner and wife walk around and stare at you and you're site but won't wave or acknowledge you. You are a nuisance to them and the seasonal renters. Never felt so unwelcome in my life.

This is a campground not a hotel. Cabins are available but we brought our camper. Pool, showers and bathrooms were within walking distance of our site. We enjoyed the quiet time. Had a campground potluck breakfast gave us a chance to meet the people who are regulars. Close to Montello so we could see the waterfalls.

Bob, a worker here was GREAT. He helped us navigate the new campsite and was always kind to us. The campsite itself is nice and it’s clean. Not many people stay in tents here, typically just campers who come often and keep their campers there.
