Kilby Park is such a beautiful spot and definitely worth a visit! The beach is peaceful with stunning views of the river and mountains, and the water is calm enough for a refreshing swim or just to dip your feet in. Itโs a great place to relax, picnic, or take in nature. The only reason I wouldnโt give it a full 5 stars is that the water access can be a little rocky and the beach area can get busy during peak times, but overall itโs a lovely, well-kept park that feels like a hidden gem. Perfect for a day trip if you want to escape the city.

Spent 1 week here.๐โฐ๏ธ๐๐๐ฆ ๐ฃ Area: Very private surrounded by the mountains. A few walking trails nearby. The water is safe to swim or paddle board - there is a sandy island in the middle. Just watch out for boats & hungry fish (JK ๐). Plenty of wildlife: bats, osprey, eagles, chikidees, seals, & otters. Warning: A train runs every couple of hours nearby - day & night. Facilities: Pet friendly (leashed)๐ถ๐ฑ๐. A boat ramp - popular for fishing. Each camping lot is a short walk to the beach. There are water stations & outhouses stationed every few lots (clean as could be, but expect flies, webs, dead bugs & stench). Grounds staff are hard working - picking up rubbish, fallen branches, & sweeping each lot so it's clean for the next visitors. Extras: They sell ice, but its advised to pre-order. ๐ง The Kilby Historical building is a 10-20 minute walk away - they have a cafe thats pet friendly plus farm animals & a beautiful garden. ๐ป

A truly beautiful place โ its distance from the city makes it really special. Not many people around, a sandy beach, and very peaceful. It was a Tuesday, so maybe it's busier on weekends. I would definitely go back.

This hidden gem is actually quite busy with camping pretty much booked up for the summer. Staff were friendly, but would be nice if there is a digital signage by the museum indicating whether there are parking available as I saw at least 20 cars turned around after making their way to the lot. It looks like a great spot for fishing and paddleboard. Will definitely come back!

Finally I found my favorite campground!! Btw, we loved camping, hiking, back country everything but most of the places here have rock, rock beach and I don't like that at all This campground has a beautiful sandy beach. So nice, so beautiful, so peaceful, so clean! The staff always clean the washroom and are all around so I'm really happy. The only thing I wish they have is a shower so no shower here. You can come for a day too if you want. It's connected to Kilby historical site, really nice which restaurant and cafe so do not forget to check them out Anyway, I love this campground so it'll be our family favorite campground

Cute little store in Kilby with tasty food and very quaint. Soup, sandwich, pie and coffee for around $20.00. They also have a petting zoo next to the restaurant and were having a special halloween show with spirit readers? Apparently there are a few ghosts in the kitchen that knock things down once in a while, according to the staff? Will have to come back in summer to sit outside for lunch.

Tgis is a hidden gem of a campsite. Most sites are right beside the huge sandy beach on the shore of the Harrison River. The river widens to essentially a lake with great opportunities for paddle sports. Swimming is a bit risky as the river flows quickly by the shore. Be away that it is dry camping with pits toilets.

Kilby is an amazing experience. I highly recommend it for anyone but especially for those who have children or work with children. We took the out of school care children and they had a blast! Christmas was our guide and she was phenomenal with the children! I can not rave enough about her or the location!
