My son and I did the 3 hours of fishing for Copper River Sockeye Salmon with a guide. Our guide was extremely helpful in teaching us how to “floss” for Sockeye. We had a great time and had several great Sockeye meals for our family with our catch. This is a good option if you are unfamiliar with fishing for Sockeye. Their price is much more reasonable than other local options. Plus, it’s only 3 hours… which is nice if you want to go fishing for Sockeye while in Alaska, but don’t want to spend an entire day fishing.

We have now stayed at full hook up sites and a cabin. I love this place, great views, super friendly staff, we still haven’t caught a fish here, but that doesn’t stop us from staying here. We love it, close to kayaking lakes, hiking trails and for me most of all the showers are very very clean with great water pressure. It’s not just a parking lot, it’s as natural and beautiful, not staked on top of each other.

Great campground with excellent access to the river. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Guides would come by from time to time and give tips for fishing as well. Seems to be a well run operation. Having a male 240V to female 120V plug would have been helpful as we were about 5 feet short on our power cord so had to put the camper in the middle of the site, but there was still sufficient room for all 6 of us.

We had a great stay. Camp hosts were extremely friendly, helpful and brought us a picnic table for our site when they noticed us setting up. While I didn't fish, our kids did well with plenty of choice spots to fish from. There are several fish cleaning stations with water. Will stay here again for sure. Enjoyed the full hookups while being in such a rustic setting.

Went rafting with ”Rusty”. He was fantastic! He introduced my wife to fly fishing and was very patient. She caught her first sockeye! He knew the river and where the fish were! Excellent at guiding the raft also. The river was ripppng! Great time there. Nice fish camp right on the river! Staff was very accommodating!

4 stars because location is very nice. Right next to a river. Main bathrooms could use some help. Shower heads mounted at about 5'6". I am 6'3". Handle falling off shower and not fastened in the wall so whole thing moves when trying to turn on. Screen ripped apart in window. Ran out of paper towels.

Awesome spot right on the river. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us and we're very kind. We chartered a fishing guide, they provided gear and we landed 4 salmon quick. The campground is laid back, showers were the best we found on our 1000 mile loop. Got to hang out with bald eagles also. We will be bringing the kids next year.

I spent a little over a week in Alaska, visiting various spots for camping, fishing, and just all around fun. King for a Day was by far the most fun that we had the entire time we were in Alaska (and we traveled over 1k miles through inland AK). The owners and staff and incredibly personal and will go out of their way to make sure you get the most out of your trip. Incredibly reasonable rates, guaranteed successful salmon fishing (both raft and shore), welcoming and comfortable environment. We are already planning out return trip and our plane hasn’t even left Alaska! Thanks so much, Skylar and crew! See you soon!
