A very nice park but the roads inside the park could use some maintenance. The host, Daniel, is a superb host. A nice guy who keeps the park clean. Daniel has great stories regarding the park since he grew up there. We invited him to our site for dinner and a fire and enjoyed his company.

Nice campground. Some good size lots for big rig. All back in. Backing in some sites a little tight. Site 12 is great for backing in. Good size. Water and electric.Tent sites too. Bathhouse is ok old. Showers need a good cleaning. Directions to campground a little difficult to follow. Very small signs for campground.

Campground is very private. No WiFi there . The shower houses are so run down and the wood on outside is rotten with holes at bottom of the doors. There is no sewer hookup so you have to be careful how much water you put in your holding tanks. The road is very narrow with pieces of it missing . The park could use some upkeep . It’s private and secluded. We took army style showers to not to have to haul off daily. Wasn’t going to use their facilities. Didn’t swim at beach since there is no place to shower off the sand either.

We arrived Monday May 19 to a quiet empty campground with no check in, ranger or host. Our site was completely level. It's huge and flat. There is a nice path down to the lake but it is overgrown. We sat outside with a nice breeze and watched two bass boats on the lake. The bathrooms are old and need to be updated. We only have water and electricity at the campsite but the dump station is available on the way out for the sewer. Feels very remote. It says that Beaver Dam campground is part of the Kisatchie National forest but the headquarters is 2 hours away. We will kayak the Caney Lake today!

A very nice, smaller campground. While clean and plenty of hot water, the facilities are a little older and could use some TLC. Camp host was super nice. Didn't have a chance to do any hikes, but they look like good trails. I was in #13, nice view of the lake, I think #16 is the prime spot. Highly recommended!

Quiet clean campground. The stars are many and bright at night. We always make this place a must stay on vacation. Hosts are very accommodating and helpful. But the campground road needs to be repaved!!! It is narrow and has potholes. Please fix it... repave it!

Beautiful! Clean bathrooms and well stocked with toilet paper, soap, paper towels, hot water, flush toilets. Showers independent of toilets in separate individual shower room. Verizon has 2 bars consistently. Mike the host went above and beyond answering questions. Definitely be back.

We camped here two nights November 2024, $30 water/elec. National Forest Campground. Pretty, well maintained, has some age but bathrooms are clean. Campsites are large and private. Hiking trails, we hiked the Caney trail 5.6 mi. mostly level ok for bikes. Two lakes with boat launches. A little tricky to find using GPS, it takes you to a fork, and you will need to turn right. T-Mobile ok. Data a little slow but can stream on your phone.

Nice paved spots, boat launch was spacious, trails everywhere with one with a bridge going over the upper lake spillway!

Host and hostess were very friendly. They keep campers informed of what is going on in the park. Beautiful and very quiet. I will be back. As I was leaving, I had trouble with my camper. The host took time to help me fix my Camper. They probably saved me around $200. Really down-home folks.

Really nice secluded campground on the shores of caney lake. Electric and water hookups ,tent or rv. The hospitality of fellow campers was outstanding and contributes to my anticipated return. You can follow the link on maps and reserve a spot and pay online. Also very pet friendly.

Sites are asphalt and fairly flat. Back ins with ample room for larger rigs. We didn’t have to unhook for our overnight stay. Picnic table was wheelchair accessible. I think we stayed at site 12. First come first serve if booking less than 2 days on rec.gov. We had a view of the lake, fire ring and lantern post. Boat ramps for fishing. Water and electric only. Only one bar LTE on Verizon so unless you have an antenna of some sort it won’t be good for streaming. We could send basic texts. No voice call at OUR campsite. Mid summer so hot and humid. Great water pressure 50/30 amp hookups. Self checkin. Need exact cash or a check for provided envelope drop. Beautiful forested campground. Instructions are well posted. You will enjoy the ride in and out of the forest!
