Super overgrown. Maybe good to car or tent camp. Beautiful setting but the access road within the campgrounds could use some tending.

Only used the campground for the night as a stopover, but we liked it. Spots 5 and 2 are by the river. The bathrooms have open pit toilets with no sink, but the one by us was clean and didn’t smell. The road is just over the river and had a lot of noise in the day time, but was surprisingly quiet at night. There were ppl fishing on the other side of the river.

We had camp site 1 over for one night while the big boy was in town, the area is beautiful but the dumpster was smelly and was 15 feet away directly from the camp site & attached stray cats which decided to climb over our large family tent left hole on one side from their nails. the whole area is covered in goat heads 😳 which wasn't as bad as the constant buzzing from the street light ballast right near the main highway. Needless to say it was a restless night.

This is a wonderful well maintained campground with pristine facilities! I am sending good wishes to the hosts during these devistating fire conditions. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there during late June before the tamarack fire and wish safety and protection for the hosts and future visitors.

Lots of beautiful sights, fishing, hiking. Firm snow pack is still presents on May 30th. Cross Country Skiing and Wind Skiing/Boarding is active at nearby Luther Pass. Kirkwood Ski Resort nearby also.

1. next to river, but next to highway so very noise when cars are passing through 2. nice small camp ground, but no place to pitch tent (most sites). mine was site #5 which is one of two sites next to river. ideal for small trailer (2 people). not good for big family at all. I stayed for the day and left at night because I couldnt pitch 6 people tent. 3. nice table & bear storage box (fairly new), but NO shower. 4. good and friendly host

Another beautiful park with the Carson river running next to it. High away in the mountains but right down the road from the best pie shop ever!! Big recommend. Plus campsites are kept clean. And they have area for bolder hopping, fishing and gold panning
