Klink's Williams Lake Resort

Overview

Klink's Williams Lake Resort offers a classic Pacific Northwest getaway on the shores of a spring-fed lake. Established as a recreation destination in the mid-1940s, this seasonal lakeside resort provides a blend of traditional camping nostalgia and modern amenities. Located in the heart of Washington's basalt country, the park is known for its serene atmosphere and deep-water access, making it a staple for regional travelers seeking a dedicated summer retreat or a quiet weekend away from the city bustle of nearby Spokane.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just south of Cheney, Washington, the resort is nestled within the unique topography of the Channeled Scablands. The surrounding landscape features rugged rock formations, rolling wheat fields, and hidden pocket lakes that define the Inland Northwest. While the resort feels pleasantly isolated and immersed in nature, it remains conveniently close to the city of Cheney, allowing visitors to enjoy a tranquil waterfront setting while staying within a short drive of essential services and regional transportation corridors.

Amenities & Park Features

The resort provides well-maintained RV sites equipped with full hookups, including both 30 and 50-amp electrical service. To enhance the guest experience, the park offers several key features designed for convenience and recreation:

  • An on-site restaurant, Klink’s on the Lake, offering dining with waterfront views.
  • A private swimming beach and a functional boat launch for guest use.
  • Modern laundry facilities and clean shower houses for long-term comfort.

Fishing is a primary draw here, and the resort supports this with boat rentals and docks, allowing guests to easily access the lake’s renowned trout fishing spots.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the lakefront, visitors can explore the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, which offers exceptional birdwatching and hiking trails through protected wetlands and pine forests. Cyclists and hikers will also enjoy the Columbia Plateau Trail State Park, a rail-trail that showcases the region's geological history. For those interested in local culture, the nearby city of Cheney provides a charming downtown area and is home to Eastern Washington University, which hosts various seasonal events and collegiate sports throughout the year.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is ideal for families and fishing enthusiasts who prioritize on-site activities and easy water access. It is a perfect fit for those who want a vacation home base where they can park the rig and have everything they need—from dining to water sports—within walking distance. Because of its quiet evenings and community feel, it also strongly appeals to summer vacationers looking for a multi-day escape rather than just a quick overnight highway stop.

This river resort is now private but such a quiet beautiful lake resort. Closest store or food is 25 minutes to the town in Cheney. Since it's private. The public can no longer visit.

It's like going to the resort from "dirty dancing" in a good way! Family oriented, safe, fun! Unfortunately like all things American, it is now for the private owners of the property. If you don't know anyone who lives there, you can't camp.

They need to open to the public. Absolutely disgusting. Loved camping and fishing there before the new owners. Went there a few times each year.
