A unique hiking experience on the shores of Lake Michigan. The cord walk over the dunes is beautiful and well maintained. The view of the lake is outstanding, and the ecological diversity of this park makes it a great place for photography as well as tree, butterfly, and bird identification. There are also forested trails and a marsh boardwalk connecting to a large campground.

This is a gem of this area. I've spent a HUGE amount of time walking the beaches with my wife and talking for hours. When it's warm, going for swims or sitting in the breeze is truly an unbeatable experience. This is the type of place where you consider going and feel tired at the thought of traveling, but you are energized and recharged after you get there and leave.

A great place for a stroll or a dip in the lake. Walked along the boardwalk thru the park. Beautiful scenery! Then walked back on the beach. Loved walking along the shore as the waves splashed at our feet.

Beautiful sites. Well maintained . wood for sale when you first enter the park. Dump and water Station here. Our 32.' Fit all the way threw the park with ease. The beach was amazing to stroll on. Cant wait to come back.

We had a wonderful winter camping experience. The lake was beautiful -- emerging from the fog, dark, murky, ominous, brooding and broiling. The dunes, covered with snow and with their stubble of milkweed and brambles, and, with the interspersed evergreen patches and birch clumps, were also beautiful. And, hiking the trails over them was invigorating. The campsites were comfortable, with electricity and sheltered in the fir trees. Water taps and clean buildings with pit toilets were nearby.
