The State Forest is beautiful and great for outdoor enthusiasts. 2 star review because $63 (August) for the smallest campsite I've ever stayed in with no amenities is simply unreasonable. I've never ever stayed at such an expensive camp site anywhere in the US and compared to some of the full amenities campsites that are within an hour drive for $5-$10 a night it's simply not worth it. Maybe the cabins are a better deal if you are planning an overnight stay. This is a huge shame because the location is awesome and the sites are pretty nice. Just not worth $30 a night after tax. Lower these prices to something reasonable and this would easily be a 4-5 star but I can't stress enough how bad these prices are when comparing to literally any other camp site in the state.

My favorite most underrated state park(forest) in WV. I absolutely love this place & would spend so much more time here if I could. I'm glad I finally got my girls there to experience it with me too! The campground is very rustic & pretty close to off-grid living if you're into that type of thing. The upper part of the campground had a nice little playground area as well for the kids. Mill Creek Falls is always the perfect place for a nice little swim too!

A quiet place surrounded by Mill Creek and mountains. Beautiful scenery. The campground had a playground in the center so the children were entertained. A track to ride bikes and Mill Creek waterfalls is just four miles away.

Gorgeous WV State park located in Randolph county. We stayed in the rustic cabin #5 and loved it. Everything you need is included. The cabins sit in a valley and is very peaceful and relaxing. There is a gorgeous waterfall right out from cabin 1. There is also a campground and picnic areas with a playground. There are hiking trails all over the park that lead to some of the prettiest Mountain View’s. Highly suggest making the trip to visit this WV state park.

Had a wonderful time. Loved the mountain air. Friendly and informative staff. Stayed in the cabins. Clean, rustic, exactly as described. Only feedback, the trails were narrow and some wildly overgrown making it difficult for children to traverse and parents to relax.
