Fun and educational. Really nice short hikes. The honey and grits you can get here are excellent.

My mom and her family lived across the bridge. There were 16 kids, I've heard lots of stories about their life . They were creek Indian my mom's grandfather was a practicing healer and lived as a creek Indian elder. There was a mail box put up years ago for the family's that lived there. I haven't been back to see if it was taken down or not. It's always awesome when they have an event good food, friendly people it's truly amazing to know my family lived there and my ancestors was there and DeSoto Caverns. It's a great place full of stories and a good time every time you visit. It's fun to learn how people grew up there and that Mill was everything years ago. Every time I've been to a event people working there had stories of their own. I have to get back soon. God Bless You All !!! 😊

Love all the improvements being made to the gristmill. Great place to ride road bikes from, great meeting place as well as primitive and RV camping.
