My husband and I just purchased a 28ft coachman catalina and stayed at Blooms resorts in Tiny, penetang...we both liked the resorts park and amenities the park offers, we are returning the long weekend and are considering possibly going seasonal....everyone were very friendly which is a reason we are looking to become seasonal at this park

I've been a guess a few times now and know I will be coming back. The sites are big and more private due to the many trees on the properties. They have very clean washrooms and many amenities. Quite friendly family environment.

Good amenities for the most part, and residents were all very friendly to us, but in general Bloom Penetanguishene has not made an effort to welcome transient campers. It is clear that trailers do not go in and out very often - corners are tight, branches are not trimmed, etc. The few available transient sites were seasonal, and have not been rehabbed so as to be open for transient campers. Ours (B3) had two compound stumps right in the middle of the site, right where we might want the picnic table or our lawn chairs. The site was littered with abandoned bits of garbage. We were having a campfire when we realized the ground at our children’s feet was covered in rusty used sparklers. 15+ of them. In general, there was a lack of communication that would help transient campers be aware of things that perhaps all the seasonal residents already know. Specifically, the bathrooms next to the pool are labeled “Shower” only - it is not clear there are also toilets until you stick your head in. Speaking of those bathrooms, not a single one of the five had soap, a working tap, AND paper towel! And I almost got locked into one. Not to mention the general urine smell - they are quite neglected. We discovered on the last day of our stay (day 5) that the shed close to the pickle ball court had racquets, balls, shuffleboard equipment, etc., and was open for campers to use. There was no sign or note or comment to indicate such, and we had used the court several times by then. The map distributed at check-in was a photocopy of a map that is more than 8 years old - it includes sites that haven’t been used in the 8 years old one resident I met has been staying there. Surely it’s time to update it?! We were also flabbergasted to find no dumpsters designated for recycling. We did enjoy the pool, the sports courts and the kids wagon ride, the mature trees, and the general area (visit Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons - it’s great!!), and, I repeat, the residents were all very friendly to us, but we aren’t likely to return to this park.

The general manager Jennifer Wood helped us with every question we had as well as checking on us to make sure we were comfortable during our staff. She made the experience at Bloom Resort a 10/10.

The Gentleman on desk when checking in wasn't very friendly, he didn't even look up or greet me when I walked in! I stood there for a full minute or two waiting for him to acknowledge me, no one else was in there. Then he finally said I'll be with you in a moment but didn't even look up at me. Not a friendly vibe at all. Told him that this was our first time here, he didn't offer where the facilities where or what they had, just busy telling what the rules were! Went to have a shower by the pool the next morning, there were 5 if I remember correctly. 3 if them the lock on door didn't work, the 2 that did, the shower hose wasn't connected! No wifi, which I knew anyway. First night there it was a huge thunderstorm, a worker knocked on our door just as it was getting dark, checking in to see if we needed anything, which was nice of her, she was very friendly. Not sure if we will be back or not? The guy at the desk left a bad taste in my opinion, not sure if he was the owner or not? He didn't even tell me his name? The store had a few candies, ice cream, soft drinks and single size chips, that's it.
