We booked site L15 for a last minute Fall trailer trip and we were not disappointed! This is our 3rd visit to a Roots RV resort this year and we highly recommend them. Great staff, lovely seasonal folks, great sites, water and power. The beach was well maintained and they had a dog beach too. It is minutes away from Arrowhead Provincial Park. Enjoy the park without camping with a lot of people. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

I had the privilege of renting a seasonal site there for the year, and I have to say that the camp managers, Jessica and John, we're absolutely exceptional! They were always very attentive to any requests that I had and even made themselves available after hours to purchase firewood and minor store items. The camp grounds always appeared to be clean and they were always attentive to any requests I had, like a replacement picnic table. I found them to be creative with little events for the kids like the runaway squids every Saturday morning. I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a nice place to set up camp. Best regards, Dave M

I stayed at Huntsville Lagoons | Roots RV Resorts from Sept 29 to Oct 1, 2025, and it was the perfect fall getaway. I booked the Bear Den cabin, which overlooked one of the lagoons, and the view was stunning—especially with the brilliant fall colours reflecting off the water. The location is ideal: only a short drive into Huntsville for anything you might need, and just minutes from Arrowhead Provincial Park, which makes it easy to combine quiet relaxation with exploring the outdoors. Jessica and her partner were welcoming, friendly, helpful, and thoughtful throughout my stay. The resort itself has everything you need. The cabin was cozy and well-equipped, and the property offers great amenities to make your stay comfortable. I loved being able to stay close to the cabin—spending my days reading, catching up on work with a peaceful view, and simply enjoying the solitude. Evenings were my favourite part: relaxing by the campfire, with the crisp autumn air and the sound of nature all around. If you’re looking for a mix of comfort, convenience, and tranquility in the heart of Muskoka, I can’t recommend Huntsville Lagoons enough. I left feeling refreshed and already look forward to coming back with him camping and hiking group.

Just got back from a wonderful 3 day trip from Huntsville Lagoons! We felt like we found a hidden gem. The staff were super friendly and thought ahead to make sure we had everything we needed, suppling us with an electrical adapter to our site so we could plug in our extension cords. We stayed at such a beautiful site close to the beach, so it was easy to set up our paddle boards and venture down the big east river for a day trip with our dogs. It was nice and quiet and that was exactly what we wanted! The bathrooms and showers were really nice, way nicer than you would expect for a camp site bathroom. The campsites are well groomed and everything clean and welcoming! We can't wait to come back and do it all over again!

Review My partner and I had a wonderful stay in the Otter Lodge at Huntsville Lagoons! It’s in such a great location, just minutes away from Arrowhead Provincial Park, which made it so convenient for exploring during the day. The lodge itself was spotless and very comfortable, and you can tell the property is well cared for. The campground was quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to relax. It’s also very family-friendly, with a beautiful beach, playground, and even a dog park—something for everyone to enjoy! The staff were absolutely lovely—so friendly and welcoming, which really added to the experience. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a cozy and family-friendly getaway near Arrowhead!
