Absolutely beautiful state park! I need to come back during the day to check it out more. The night time views are still amazing!

This park has many amenities such as pavilions, canoes rentals, fishing house, camping, and etc. if it has one down side it would be the variety of the water. It is thick with plant life even in the beach area.

The campground is sort of terraced on a hill, no trees in the campground, very open. The park had no trail map signs anywhere I could see. When hiking around the lake it would dump me out in the campground and I wasn’t very clear where it started back up. But as long as you keep along the lake you will find it eventually. The trail on the far side of the lake is beautiful forest to hike thru. From the beach to the campground is pretty open. A couple splits in the trail that weren’t labeled but again, keep nearest the lake. A good walk 4+ miles around

If you haven't camped here recently, you should give it a try. The sites are spacious and tidy. All are reservable online. There are many full hook up sites with an excellent view of the lake. Go fishing, hiking or just sit outside and enjoy the view.

We went there for a day visit to get an idea of what the park had to offer, enjoyed a walk around the lake, and we'll be visiting again when we can rent a boat to go out on the lake. Looks like there's ample RV parking, and some tent areas as well. Definitely a fisherman's playground with plenty of outcroppings for each fisherman to fish in comfort.

This was my first visit here and I was told that it was recently renovated. I hope in the future they will mark the path better and also provide mileage sign telling you how long the trail actually is. I have been to a few parks here and there and did not expect the trail to be as long as it was. What I thought could be maybe 2 miles was actually 4.( so you are aware) Many of the trails around the lake wind up into the Woodland area. It is very quiet with no city noise. If you love nature and a nice dirt path this place is for you! There are a few benches but not many restroom stops considering how long the trail is. (I don't know if they're going to be able to do that because it is so secluded out there.) In the summer there Canoes for rent as well as a swimming area.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The park was clean and well maintained. The restrooms and showers were clearly well taken care of. They have some walking trails that were also great. Most of the sites were electric only, with water spigots sprinkled throughout, but there are also full hook-up sites. For electric only, it was $20 a night. But, if you try to book starting on a Saturday, you have to book the Friday before, or it won't let you. If you have T-mobile, the service is very spotty at best. But, overall, not a bad place to stay. We'd stay here again.
