The park is nestled in the heart of southeastern Minnesota's bluff country, where the landscape is defined by rolling hills and deep river valleys. It sits directly on the shores of Lake Byllesby, a reservoir created by a hydroelectric dam on the Cannon River. This unique location offers a diverse ecosystem, from open water to shaded woodlands. The surrounding area is famous for its limestone cliffs and lush prairies, providing a picturesque and quiet backdrop for every RV camping trip.

The nearby city of Cannon Falls offers local boutiques, craft breweries, and the popular Cannon River Winery. For those seeking adventure, the river is a top spot for canoeing and tubing through the bluffs. Additionally, the lake itself is a haven for fishing enthusiasts looking to catch walleye, crappie, and northern pike.

Great quite location! It's been so hard to be able to get a spot and very hard to get a water view site. But great walking trails and the sites are pretty good sizes as well.

Very nice. Helpful, friendly staff. Really pretty views. The east campsites have a lot of privacy and nature. 30 minutes away from MSP was a great location

We stayed here for just one night while passing through. The office staff was helpful and made sure we had a good stay. It's quiet and the site we had was fairly private. The site we were at had 30/50 and regular plug in on new asphalt. Would definitely stay here again. Very good experience.
