The prices are unknown and not clearly posted for those stopping by, and are too expensive for a single car. The night Staff was unable to be helpful and only there till 10 pm. When several campers were acting erratically, laughing loudly, and running around the beach with headlights on @1 am, we couldn't rely on any help.

Beautiful area! The surrounding cliffs and geological formations are astounding. Weather was nice with some clouds and a good breeze that gave some respite. Wonderful people all around fishing with their families. Overall a great place to walk and enjoy.

Here in late March, 105°f, so keep that in mind! Nice spacious campsites(RVs) with power and water. I did a sunset walk around the lake, was right about 2.8 miles. You might want bug spray to keep the mini flies away. There was a bit of trash here and there, but you always have that in the desert when the wind picks up suddenly. I did my part and filled a trash bag(plenty of dumpsters around). Check in was easy and fast, very friendly. Also keep in mind, the nearest store is probably 15 to 20 minutes away, so pick up those last minute items before arriving. The zoo is 30 minutes away, and I highly recommend it. Great place to walk, and relax in the shaded areas. Alao 45 minites away is Joshua Tree. Go early before the heat and crowd. Would I visit Lake Cahuilla again? Ohhh yes! Very quiet and peaceful during my stay Sunday thru Friday.

A great trail connecting La Quinta to Lake Cahuilla, but definitely one for the early birds! I went on the Morrow Trail (also labeled as the La Quinta trail to the lake Cahuilla) and it was already getting quite hot. I didn't make it as far as I wanted, but I’ll be back for a sunrise hike next time. Seeing the mountain colors at dawn is worth the early wake-up call, plus it's the only way to hike comfortably before the desert sun takes over.

You can camp here with hookups or just primitive tent camping. The daily setting can be bustling; we were lucky to camp during the week. It's just 16 minutes from La Quinta 'downtown', nice new development in Mexican style, well done with great coffee shops and restaurants

This park is beautiful and well kept. Unfortunately, my wife and I had a difficult experience while camping overnight. We booked and paid for the campsite months in advance, but when we arrived near the campsite, at about 8pm, the car gates into the park were padlocked. We tried to contact the park multiple times, through multiple numbers, but we're unable to get ahold of them. The voicemail informed us that the car gates closed at sunset (which was hours before we got there). There had been no mention of the gate closure in any of the confirmation emails for our stay, nor in the general park details. Eventually, we managed to get in, after asking someone within the campground for a gate code. (The campsite had not emailed us the gate code.) Once we got to our campsite, it was very nice. The bathrooms were clean, and the area felt very safe. They should just be more clear to campers about check in times or send a gate code for those paying for overnight camping.

Nice lake with an rv park. Wouldn't go on a hot weekend, there are trees, but they are sparse. It was cloudy and there was light rain, so I lucked out on a perfect time to check this out. Water and electric hookups, picnic tables and fire rings at all sites. I'll be back again before it heats up here in the desert.

Nice clean camp grounds and RV hook ups. Still under semi construction. But nicely upgraded with landscaping and park like amenities. Note:: No swimming or floating or going in the lake is allowed if you are human or animal. You can only fish from the shore. Lame!mussels and invasive plants dont live on humans or dogs. We booked in advance and they are dog friendly but fail to tell you can not swim or let your dogs in the lake. An oasis that you can’t have if you want to utilize the facilities in the heat. Their renovation construction is almost done and they have a swimming pool, along with other out door bbq and shaded picnic amenities, basket ball court, pickle ball and tennis ready to open the weekend of the 7th with a fishing derby and freshly stocked lake. It’s nice!

It was a nice place to fish a lot of catfish you actually catch fish. It’s really nice to go there. There’s benches there’s restrooms you get to drive up on your spot park your truck or your car pull out your chairs and whip out your fishing poles and start fishing. It’s really fun, especially if you go for a day fishing it’s awesome especially for families who have nothing to do. It is fun and interesting. And the best time to fish is early in the morning right when the park opens at six is when the fish first start to bite so it’s best to get there early if you wanna catch something but you’ll catch anything no matter what have fun. It’s a really fun place. kids can run around, but you just gotta make sure you keep an eye on them.

A quiet and beautiful place to watch the sun rise. Although its under construction its stil a great place. I think all the construction they are doing will only enhance this great this place.

Beautiful location set against the mountains. Clean bathrooms and shower with unlimited hot water. Dog friendly. Picnic table. Pretty & stocked lake only for fishing. There is a shooting range right next to this campground. There was enough shooting that we won’t be back. If they could relocate that, this place would be a gem.

While it’s really a very pretty area, there are limited activities. Beautiful beach, but you’re not allowed to swim or do boating stuff. You can look at the lake and fish, that’s it. For the triathlons, organizers get a special permit, but I don’t think I’d come out here to look a the lake.

We are enjoying out stay. The weather is perfect today. Our view from our campsite was beautiful today. The moonrise was stunning!

Spent two nights here. I loved the campground, warm showers, and the beautiful night sky. The lake is always a plus.
