This little campground is a gem. After a long day of driving on I-10, it’s a convenient place to get a good nights sleep. They don’t oversell themselves as some fancy resort. (Wish is refreshing.) We were fortunate to come across this campground our very first time cross country in our new 40 ft class A several years ago. The lay out is big rig friendly, the sites are large and flat. East to get here from the interstate. Clean restrooms, a small swing-set for children, and a fenced dog area. They sell propane. Very nice staff and close enough to some pretty decent places to eat. Always a win.

Lake Charles RV Resort by Rjourney is a nice campground, but the booking process was very disappointing. We called during normal business hours to make a reservation, and without telling us in advance, they added a $20 “booking fee” plus a $1.63 credit card fee. These charges were not disclosed before payment, which feels misleading and unfair. While the park itself is good, the way the fees are handled is not. Travelers deserve transparency, and we would not choose to stay here again unless this practice changes.

The manager is very nice. Easy on and off the interstate. This is a clean park with paved streets and long pull through spots. No pool no shade and the most expensive laundry in the last 12 states. Well into three rolls of quarters to do three loads. Nestled between a train switching yard and an interstate. It's fine with ear plugs. It's the best in the area for big rigs.

A nice clean and large campground with paved and level sites. Plenty of length for camper and truck. Not many trees but plenty of grass as wild bunny sightings. Everyone we met was very friendly. We even met a resident named Mrs Pat who gave us some pineapple jam and got a pic with us. Plenty of area for walking.

The RV Resort was clean and well kept. The sites were level, and easy to pull into. The management team is delightful, and a pleasure to work with. For my dog people (small dogs) there is a hole in the fence, which management said is being fixed. We would stay there again.
