It's a relaxing place to go for camping or a day trip. Toilets we're replenished and clean all the time, sorroundings is very decent alot of amenities to do. Bonfire can be lit til late, not too congested and feels safe to camp. Just maybe, they can build more showers around the property in the future.

This place was amazing! It was recommended to me one week and booked for the next week. I'm happy to have had the experience I did have. It all began with a great check-in process (smooth and kind service), readily available and considerate care during the stay, and it ended with just as smooth of a check-out as the check-in. The amenities offered were not all listed, so I was pleasantly surprised to see I didn't have to pack as much as I did. - Bathroom: hand soap, hand towel, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash dispenser in the shower. - Kitchen: Dish soap and sponge, paper towels, dish towels, coffee maker, pots and skillet, mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons, can opener, corkscrew, knives, cooking utensils, toaster, microwave, tableware for 8 (wine glasses, cups, coffee cups, plates, dessert plates, bowls, silverware), broom and dustpan. - Bedrooms: towels on all beds, space heater, plenty of pillows, heating pads (only in colder months) I think it's important to know these are available, especially if you're already excited about staying at one of their lodges so you can focus on packing only the necessities. I enjoyed my first stay so much that I'm already ready to book there again and make it an annual trip.

We loved the campground - it was well organized and very clean. We were placed beside another RV containing a family of three (one young boy). Unfortunately, the family has 3 dogs. The dogs were kept tethered to a long line by a one foot lead. Each dog was basically pinned in place. They were never off of that one foot lead unless they were being literally thrown by the scruff of their neck/back into a crate. They did not have access to water and we did not see them fed in the two days we saw them. The dogs stayed outside at night with no place to keep warm - the temperature one night dropped to approximately 30°. I informed the campground person who was stationed at the gate that on day 1, the dogs were left alone while pinned in-place for several hours. Never did we see anyone from the campground visit their campsite. I then texted the campground on their 24 hr number the next day to report the worsening situation. Also, the people had hunting rifles which we saw and reported. I also reported the presence of weapons via text. I got no response from the campground nor did I see a campground representative pay a visit to the campsite next to us. The campground appeared to not respond to my reports and to not uphold their rules: only 2 dogs/site, never leave dogs outside unattended, and no guns in the campground.

We had a great 4 month stay this summer! This was our 5th summer at the Lake - as it's the perfect escape from the desert heat!! The staff is what makes it such a pleasure! Every single one of them are just wonderful "stellar" people!! A special big thank you to Jeff Walls! He was very instrumental in setting us up for a perfect situation to make our future returns even more amazing for years to come! Jeff is attentive and works hard to build a good moral within a very diverse community. He makes himself available for any and all situations. We appreciate all the staff and their conscious support of keeping the grounds safe and efficient for the many who call it home! Thank you! Looking forward to next summer already!

It's a campground. The Google page makes it sound like a hotel. I enjoy camping here, its peaceful and usually pretty quiet. Camping neighbors are respectful and we have not run into any issues. As a kid I remember swimming... but the last few years we have come we are not allowed to touch the water because the algae is so bad. If you have fishing waders you can go into the water. It's not as fun for kids because they cant play in the actual water. There is fishing, riding bikes, hiking and other activities toward the main entrance to do. There are hook ups depending on which camp site you pick or just plain tent camping. Their website was very helpful and easy to navigate. This last time we went the water is SUPER low then normal too. Still overall a great relaxing trip.

It's always a pleasure to visit lake Hemet campground. I've camped here quite a few times over the last 2 years and it has by far become my favorite place for a combined camping/fishing trip. The proximity of the campsites to the fishing areas and the ability to drive onto the beach and fish when the lake is low makes this place a one of a kind for southern California. Camping here is a little pricey compared to other places but in my opinion it's well worth the extra money, these guys pay big money to keep the lake full of super sized premium trout and don't just rely on stocks from the department of fish and game. They have excellent facilities, Showers actually have decent water pressure and have hot water which is hard to come by in other campgrounds, restrooms are cleaned and restocked frequently. It's always a pleasure to visit lake Hemet campground and I can't wait to see you again!

Lovely place. Clean all around. I was nervous about the restrooms but they were clean and didn't stink like a portapoty. The fire pit we got didn't have a grill on top like most of the others ones did but it was alright. In the three days we stayed we only saw one person reel in a small fish. We possibly got a nibble but it could have been the wind. Lots of different birds to see. I wish I knew the names of them but lots of little black birds with yellow eyes with the funniest sounds that you couldn't help to mimic them. We saw lots of vultures in the morning just spreading there wings out and looking for food here and there. Ducks liked to hang out by the campsite too. Saw some squierls aswell. At night we had to put our food in the car because the mice starting looking around our boxes of food lol The black birds with the yellow eyes will also get your food if you are not there. We went for a walk and came back finding our paper towels and bananas being pecked at lol We heard coyotes at night too! People need to leash their dogs though. Saw a dog attack another dog (both not leashed) The lady had gotten her dog on the bench to keep it away from the other dog but the other dog jumped up there and got attacked. Luckily no serious injury to any of them. Over all it was a fun experience. Can't wait to come back again someday.

Great SoCal hidden gem of a campsite. Very dog friendly and has electrical and bathroom amenities. Market at the entrance is very convenient for most things that you may have forgotten or need for camping.

The old guys who are camp hosts like to drive around in their golf carts and play mall cop for no apparent reason. They like having a small sliver of power over guests and they take advantage of this by harassing guests when it's not warranted. They're just a bunch of 70+ year old cranks who think their still in their 20's, playing tough guy with the small power they have over you while you're camping.

Overall, the stay was amazing, the only complaint I have was when we arrived. The fire pit ring was pulled from its ashes and was never cleaned so we had a huge pile of burnt wood, charcoal and ashes in a 4 foot pile and we had to shovel it and put it in trash bags And haul it to the dumpster ourselves. I think that there should be cleaning crew that come by after people leave and clean up any unwanted mess for the new arrivals.

We stayed at the Eagle Crest cabin and absolutely loved it. The cabin has all the amenities that you could need. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean everything was. There were plenty of clean towels provided in a tiny clean bathroom (cute bag with shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap provided), the bedding was nice and clean and the kitchen was just big enough to cook a nice meal (all plates, utensils and pans were provided). We stayed during the winter time and the heater worked great! In case you are traveling with children there is a tv with a DVD player so you can bring some movies for down time. There were a few DVDs already there but most were adult movies. The campground area was really nice and everyone was very friendly. The kids loved playing in the snow right outside on the hillside. We will definitely go again once it is a bit warmer to check out the fishing and boating on the beautiful lake.

Another great trip to Lake Hemet! We’ve been coming here for years. This last trip topped the charts for us! Snow right at our camp site made it extra special. Bill our camp host was amazing. Checking on us to make sure we were good and even brought the kids some goodies. Lake Hemet is such a hidden gem!

President’s Day weekend was our first time staying in the cabins at Lake Hemet. Camp Host Bill was very welcoming, brought gifts and candy for the kids, and stopped by several times during the weekend to make sure we had everything that we needed. The cabins were clean and furnished with everything that you need. All of the facilities were clean and well maintained. We’ll definitely come back to Lake Hemet.

We were so happy with our experience, We stayed in a Cabin twice in the past month and a half. Both times Bill checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. brought lil goodies for the kids and made us feel welcome. The whole staff were so nice which now a days you don't always get those experiences. So we were very appreciative. The views/scenery were beautiful! The restrooms/showers were clean. What a great time being outdoors and being with family. There's nothing better.
