We stayed in a little cabin—family of 4. It was perfect. So much cleaner than I had anticipated and with a bed for everyone. The grounds of the park were clean, outhouses just fine, and the plumbed bathrooms were SO clean, they looked brand new. Accessible firewood for $7 a bundle upon entry (we always just drop cash in the box) and gorgeous hiking trails—especially in October! There are multiple playgrounds and many beaches, too. We also found a few great dock fishing sites and a few great shore fishing sites. We will be back, many times.

Beautiful park. Lots of big trees, widely spaces campsites. Shower houses/restrooms are modern and clean. Ample dumpsters and trash cans throughout the park. Dump station is newer and very nicely set up. The park was very quiet, but we were there in the off season. I highly recommend if you need a night or a few to unwind in eastern South Dakota.
