Overview
Lake Lincoln State Park offers a serene escape into the heart of Mississippi's piney woods. This state park revolves around a 550-acre spring-fed lake, providing a tranquil atmosphere for travelers seeking a natural retreat. Unlike high-traffic commercial resorts, this park emphasizes scenic beauty and outdoor recreation, making it a staple for regional RVers and cross-country travelers looking for a peaceful, well-maintained stop in the Magnolia State.
Location & Surroundings
Situated just east of Wesson, MS, the park is nestled within the rolling hills of the coastal plain. Its proximity to Interstate 55 makes it easily accessible while remaining secluded enough to drown out highway noise. The surrounding landscape is characterized by dense forests of pine and hardwood, creating a lush green canopy that offers plenty of shade and a deep sense of privacy for those staying within the park boundaries.
Amenities & Park Features
The park features 71 RV campsites equipped with full hookups, including water, electricity, and sewer connections. Many of these sites are situated directly along the shoreline, offering immediate water access and sunset views. Visitors can enjoy practical features such as clean bathhouses, a laundry facility, and a sandy swimming beach. For those active on land, the park includes a 1.5-mile nature trail and a popular disc golf course that winds through the woods.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Anglers often visit for the premier fishing opportunities, as the lake is well-stocked with bluegill, channel catfish, and largemouth bass. Boating is a major draw, with a boat launch available for those bringing their own craft to explore the water. Beyond the park, the nearby town of Wesson offers a glimpse into small-town Mississippi life, while the historic downtown Brookhaven provides local dining and shopping just a short drive away.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is ideal for families and couples who prefer quiet, nature-centric camping over bustling urban environments. It is a fantastic choice for birdwatchers and photography enthusiasts due to the diverse local wildlife. Recommended by a friend and I am glad I listened. Spent 5 days there, very peaceful and quiet. The staff was great and active in their support. I will be back!

Great campground experience for a first time visit. We stayed in site 55 on the lake and it was beautiful. The park is well maintained. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Very clean facilities. Kids enjoyed some good brim fishing from the bank. The playground is aged, but still enjoyable. There are some good hiking trails and a fun disc golf course. The beach area was busy on the weekend. Had a really good trip and will certainly be back.

Gps sent us over one lane dirt roads from the east. We are in a 35 foot motor home towing a jeep. It was horrible. We are in site 58 and it is small and tight. People on both sides and many dogs. It is a Friday. Hopefully they leave on Sunday cause it's not great right now. Ok Sunday..... almost everyone left. So much nicer. Big groups of people, lots of kids and now it's like 2 camps in our loop. This is a nice campground. I'd chose a wooded spot if here on a weekend again Just too crowded in this loop. Trail that is suppose to be here is not. The ranger told us to take the disc golf course trail.

Nice clean campground. Bathroom/showers older but clean. Lake is beautiful. We stayed in site 60, would have been perfect except it rained and all the water went thru our campsite. Stayed right on the lake. Would definitely stay again. In March was pretty empty.

Great park. The hiking trails are mostly shaded so it is really nice. There are sites with sewer hook up right by the lake. The sites have a good amount of space between them. Nice swimming area in the lake. We really enjoyed the time here.
