Quiet and clean. Bathrooms were very clean but showers VERY HOT. There is an iron smell to the water and it does cause “rust” to form in the shower. Lots are pretty level. We have a class B van and a vehicle so the state park passes were confusing. We bought a pass for each, so I felt penalized because we drive our RV instead of pull it. All that being said, I WOULD stay there again. These are just things that needed a little tweaking.

There are many trails: paved, gravel, unpaved, just for biking, just for hiking and or horse trails. The main paved bike trail connects to this park as well. The group camping areas are beautiful. Again, all rustic. Looks like very good fishing as well. A great place for canoeing (bring your own, no rentals available at the park). The picnic area, trails, and the group sites are handicapped accessible. I did not see a handicapped accessible bathroom, specifically.

Lake Louise State Park was a peaceful and scenic stop during our southern Minnesota travels. We arrived on a warm weekend without a reservation and still found an open campsite—both electric and non-electric sites were available. The park offers great hiking, biking, and horseback trails winding through prairie and woodland, plus a calm lake perfect for paddling or relaxing by the shore. A highlight was the historic mill site and dam that created the lake, originally built to power a gristmill in the 1800s. If you do a little digging, there’s some neat local history tied to this spot. Whether you're camping, exploring the trails, or just enjoying the quiet lakeside atmosphere, Lake Louise is definitely a Nice place to visit!

Part of the Small Park Mafia, this is a smaller, more quiet park with an extensive horse/hike trail system and the most dense hike through deciduous forest i have experienced in MN. This is a top-notch spot for fall color. The campground is a baby, with approx 20 small, wide-open and closely situated sites, it feels more like a group camp site than separate. They are flat and shaded. The star of this park is the nice picnic area and swimming beach. A great way to beat the summer heat and pass the time. There is an easy walking trail from campground to beach, no driving required. Also with the Shooting Star State Trail passing directly through the park, it's a great one to bring your bikes.

Lake Louise State Park offers a short and easy Hiking Club Trail with occasional views of the lake. The park provides ample parking, making it convenient for visitors. While it’s a smaller state park with limited activities, there are a couple of additional trails for those looking to enjoy a relaxed hike in the area.

Great mix of wood, prairie, & riparian landscape with well-kept trails & good signage. If you like easy hikes & nature photography, this is a great spot. I can't speak to the camping. Obviously, the car fee means it's $5-7 a day, unless you have a year pass for MN state parks.

The only state park in Mower County, near Minnesota’s southern border with Iowa. Truly beautiful park. Nice waterfall on a beautiful lake. The swimming beach is small but it’s not bad. There is a shaded picnic table area. There’s a lot of beautiful flowers and wildlife throughout the park and the trails are pretty cool, lots of trees. There was no staff at the park and there were only a couple other people there.

Though this park has A lot of hiking trails and beautiful natural scenery. Our visit was marred by the strong odor of hog farms.

Nice park only a small number of sites but they are very nice. Power provided but no water at the site. You can fill up by the campground and there is also a dump station. Hiking and bike trails were great! Long grass meadows and wooded areas seemed untouched and natural.

It's a small state park. Not much to do here except hiking here and there. Bathroom and showers are clean and roomy. We camped at the group campsite, which i would recommend. The regular campsites have no privacy.

What a great MN State Park ... A true hidden gem. I hiked on a Sunday and pretty much had the trails to myself. I did the hiking club trail with detour for the Woodcock Trail. All the trails where wide & groomed. And a pretty flat easy hike. Loved all the meadows - great for birding. Nice little picnic area with a rustic beach on Lake Louise. FYI - only vaulted toilets and not many. Wished there had been benches along the trail to sit & enjoy.

We had a fun time camping and hiking at Lake Louise State Park. Mosquitoes: were not bad at all in late-July. Hiking: Not the most scenic trails... basically walking through prairie fields and next to a farm, but good enough if you want to stretch your legs Swimming: The lake is dirty and the bottom is gross. The bottom was extremely muddy, like sink into marshmallow mud up to your mid- to upper-calf muddy. The gas bubbles that bubbled to the surface with each step in the muddy bottom smelled like sewer gas. Like I said... gross. Firewood: Somewhat wet Campsite: Clean and well-kept. No bushes between sites. No one enforced any kind of “turn of the lights on your travel trailer” at night policy, so we got the neighbor’s outdoor light shining into our tent all night. Bathrooms/showers: Clean and nice! Wouldn’t go out of our way to go back.
