We stayed in Little thunder campground near beach seven. The camp host was wonderful and friendly and did her best. The other employees at the park were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, this SRA allows people to camp on the beach. Which means on the weekend instead of people from 40 campsites using the bathrooms and showers, you have many more. Although the campground itself was clean, the showers and bathrooms quickly became dirty although the host was doing everything she could. A positive was that hand soap was available! There were no bathrooms or trash receptacles on the beach area and so trash was everywhere. We saw diapers on the beach and whole bags of trash in the lake. On Monday, the weekenders were gone, and it was nice and quiet, but the trash on the beach remained. The showers in the campground were pay token showers, which I assume was to cut down on the amount of people from the beach area using them. The water was mostly cold and you could not adjust it at all.

Stayed in the west primitive area. The non-powerwood lake was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I had the place almost to myself. I came in by myself pulling a motorcycle on a trailer. If I took the motorcycle off the trailer they would charge me another vehicle fee on top of the state park entrance fee on top of the campground rental fee. I woke in a panic at 9:30 has a bright spotlight with shining into my tent from the back side of my campsite. The park employee was too lazy to get off the main road and approach my campsite from the front to verify my reservation. The view was great the people were not.

This lake is the best place to go camping with your family if you are in a tent or a camper. Such a relaxing place with friendly locals. There is plenty to do from boating, fishing, swimming, to driving in the hills with your 4x4. This is my family’s first choice for a quick road trip.

Marina Landing provides a friendly atmosphere to make you feel welcomed and valued. I am a frequent visitor to the property. I know the ownership and leadership of the property, Daine and Kyle. They are outstanding people who will address any issues you may have and work to provide customer satisfaction. The property is not designed to be a 5-star hotel. It is a beach front walk-in from your boat, dune-buggy, or tie your horse up at the hitching post location. The property is clean, inviting, and the staff and customers are hardworking individuals. The food is prepared in a clean kitchen that consistently meets high standards. The lounge and dining areas are open to foster the reason you are at the Lake to begin with, which is to get away from the stuffy confines of your everyday life. I have no financial interest in this business and nothing to gain. I know you will enjoy your visit.

This lake took my breath away! There are no signs indicating the beauty and excitement you will find with this lake on your way there. The park Rangers were very friendly at the ticket booth exceptionally helpful. The park itself is very clean was free of any litter. The lake is stunning and when I mean, stunning, I mean stunning! I always wondered who would vacation in Nebraska? I can stay with the upmost confidence that I proudly. Would vacation at this lake for a week and have the time of my life. I went swimming in the refreshing water, and I loved every moment of it. Walk the white Sand beaches. I’ll definitely be back.
