We spent the last 6 months of weekends here and really enjoyed ourselves! The only thing that would make it better is the return of the lake! Sites are well spaced and there are lots of trees. There is a rec room for group activities, picked ball and basketball courts. There are a few trails on the property which is a gated working cattle ranch. I loved seeing the longhorns! I recommend a good pair of hiking boots/shoes. There is an abundance of deer as well and we enjoyed watching them behind our campsite!

Our site was great, the staff top-notch, the club house cafe needs attention, the putt-putt was nice, the trails and roads were good, the deer were cool to watch, propane service was appreciated and the pool/hot tub looks nice. Will visit again.

This is a beautiful property first and foremost. The people and service we received was fantastic. However, our rv is a 49 ft long 5th wheel pulled by our F550. So all together we are a little over 70ft. The hills coming into the park are steep and the turns are narrow with little sight. The lake is dry. I repeat. The lake is DRY. There are also boulders everywhere in the park making navigation into the sites difficult. There are lots of trees around the sites and hanging over them. If you are a small bumper pull or 5th wheel this is perfect. It is not "big right friendly". We enjoyed our stay it just was not good fit for our rv.

We had a nice two-night stay in a cabin. The cabins sit up high above the resort with a good view to the surrounding area. We met a number of nice people. There's a nice play pool near the office and rec room building. The park is nicely maintained. Unfortunately, and I feel for everyone in the area, the lake has been dry for a few years now. There's plenty of other things to do at the park and in the surrounding area. It's a nice place to kick back and relax!

We visited my parents here in October and actually got married here! The grounds are so well kept and beautiful. The trees provided a lot of shade and you can peek right outside {any} window of the club house or the cabins and see deer any time of day! You’ll even see some of the cattle near the entrance of the park. They were having a Halloween hay ride while we were there too! Community events are held for the kids and adults and everyone participates. The spaces are large and roomy and it seems like everyone picks up after themselves to help keep the park clean! We will be going back in April & are so excited!

We enjoyed our stay here so much!! The people who run the resort are absolutely amazing. The resort has a LOT of wildlife. We saw many different species of birds, armadillos, deer and raccoons. Our site was huge and accommodated all of the equipment we brought. (And we have a lot because we're moving) The lake is very, very low, so we had to go to a marina to put in, but this place is so great that we didn't mind. Check them out, you will be glad you did!

Great park if you're ready to get away from everything and relax. Keep in mind you will be 45 minutes from the major stores. Wildlife is all around, clear view of the skies at night, and beautiful scenery.

LOVE this place!! We stayed in one of the cottages. Safe, clean, affordable, clean laundry room/pool/hot tub/Rec-room” Owners are AWESOME! The events the owners & “wintering RVers” put together were amazing & fun! Location is remote from SA but a relaxing get-away. There are excellent local restaurants & stores & businesses that can help fill necessary items/needs. Great place to bring in the New Year!! Thanks G&G & Cole! 🎉🥂😍

The campground was nice but there was no water in the lake. Call ahead if water activities are something you want to do. The road into the resort is very hilly - could be dangerous in bad weather. The staff was friendly and the grounds were clean.

Stayed 17 nights at this Thousand Trail RV Campground. The drive to the park has one tree over the road and the branch is unavoidable. No damage entering, just scraping on the roof. Leaving the branch took an antenna off. Pulled over in a church parking lot to retrieve the pieces. This is not the fault of the campground. Just wanted to warn campers. Our height is 12’. Check in was easy. Ranger recommended a FHU 50A site. It was perfect for our unit. 50A costs $3 per night. Site L11 had a concrete patio. The fire pit was overgrown with weeds as was the rest of the area. Recreation was available abundantly. Trails to explore, putt-putt, basketball and all the other ball sports. The rec hall had most everything from books & puzzles to a pool table. I recommend driving to the rec center. This park has many kid/family friendly activities like movie night and candy bingo. Deer are everywhere. Please DO NOT feed the wildlife. It is not safe or healthy. We saw some annual residents lure the deer to their site with feed. They had over 30 deer by our count in their RV site. The park has posted signs to not feed the deer. The park also has a large swimming pool and hot tub. We had to drive to the pool and rec area. This is a very large park. The roads are very rough. Be sure to drive the 5mph speed limit and you will have no problem. The trees were being trimmed while we were there. My only issue is being next to a very messy permanent camper. Stuff and garbage everywhere. Hopefully I can post pictures. But I do recommend this campground.
