Spacious, great swimming. Developed and primitive camping, drive up and reserved sites. Fishing, hiking and family friendly. Dog friendly. Pit toilets.

We love Minatare. Whether it’s to drop the boat and shore play with the dogs, kayak, or just water play with the dogs, we enjoy this recreational spot 20x times annually.

Off season so we couldn’t see the lighthouse. But really pretty.

Camped on the east side away from the boat ramp. One of the nicest campgrounds in Nebraska, stayed a couple extra days as we liked it so much. Note that dump station is on the west side.

We stopped here as part of the Nebraska Passport. This is a huge lake that has RV parking right up to the lakes edge. It was really cool to see the RV's with the kayaks and jet ski's in the water right next to them. The eroding sandhills provide a breathtaking backdrop to the dark blue lake. If you follow the entrance road it will lead to a lighthouse. You can walk up to the top for a great view of the area. I would come back to camp and spend time on the lake.

Hook ups or primitive, it's a great camping experience. Easy access to the water. Great for kayaking, boating, jet skiing, canoeing. Plenty of restrooms that are refreshed daily. Pets are allowed.
