This is a beautiful campground on Lake O the Pines 15 minutes from Jefferson, TX. It is a Corp of Egineer camp with water, electricity and 2 dump stations although the water at one was not working at the time of our trip in Nov, 2025. We snagged a pull through waterfront site, E110, set up for friends camping with a 100 ft site, 2 tables with fire rings and 2 electric & water hook ups. We noticed there was one other site also set up for friends but were side by side back-in spots. Boat ramps were available in the park with nice areas to leave your vehicle and trailer. No store or other amenities.

Nice campground. Nice facilities but they could be cleaned a little more frequently and thoroughly. We stayed for a week and had a great time. The ants were absolutely awful. We had to go purchase spray and spray daily.

Very nice COE campground right on the lake with boat launch. Campsites are concrete and level and roads in the park are asphalt. Campsites are spacious and have fire pits. We didn't use the restrooms but our friends did and said they are very nice and had showers also.

Didn't rent a room or need any services, rented a camping spot. Good location, great price, close to restrooms. Nice place to camp, we'll worth it!

This is one of the best maintained COE’s campgrounds I’ve been to in a long time. Clearly the staff takes pride in their service here. The sites are kept pristine. Concrete pads with sunken fire pits and clean aluminum picnic tables. This is one of the only places I would actually use the bathhouse as they were clean and kept that way. Everyone, campers and staff were very friendly and welcoming. When I arrived midweek, a herd of deer wandered through the middle of the campground. Beautiful sunsets every night. The pads are close but arranged to allow for good privacy. Overall a great place.

Glad to see they have got the park back in order. Fairly clean, nice areas for swimming, picnicking, and fishing. Restrooms could use some updating and more maintenance.

This is hands down the most beautiful campground I’ve ever visited! Me and my fiancé tent camped in the T100’s and it’s was perfect. They provide a sandy lot for your tent and a bench and a campfire on each lot. Our lot, T107, was backed up right to the water. They provide lots with and without electric (ours was no electric). The bathrooms could’ve been cleaner, but you can’t expect too much out of a bathroom at a campground. All in all, I will definitely be returning soon!

Camped here in the T200s last weekend...and we had a really nice outing...as always with most campgrounds its best to do your homework and scout the sites out beforehand for shade and good level spots to place your tent...the T200s are not equipped with actual timbered sandlots to put your tent so it takes some looking over to find a fairly level spot...restroom was closed due to plumbing issues but was swiftly repaired and all of the park staff were very courteous and quick to handle any inconveniences....it was an extremely peaceful stay and the other campers who passed by seemed somewhat friendly...enjoyed the stay overall...

By far THE best campground at Lake of the Pines! Wooded areas, great tent camping, friendly staff and great rates. Beautiful lake with swimming, fishing and boating. Boat ramp inside camping area with plenty of parking for boat trailers. Must go to recreation.gov for reservations. Park is safe with gated entrance. Family fun! We love it there!
