UPDATE MAY 15 2025||The prices have gotten even worse this summer. Now for two nights of tent camping, its 221.87 if you want to reserve your site and actually make sure you get it. You can risk not getting the site you chose for $40.00 less. Yep they charge you $40.00 to keep the site you reserved. I was planning on maybe taking my child in OCT, keep in mind the pool and waterslides will be closed so I was planning on getting a golf cart for just Saturday to keep us busy. Now the total for 2 nights of sleeping in a tent with a site of your choosing and a golf cart for one night. DRUM ROLLLLLLL BRBRBRBRBBRRBRBRB $291.87!!!!.... we can literally stay in a lake front hotel near navy pier right on the lake in Chicago for that price. Sun and Fun outdoors has ruined this place, I wish Holiday World would have bought it, they would have kept prices within reason and not made it look like a retirement community. Pathetic to charge someone that much to sleep on the ground.

My family booked a Christmas cabin for the weekend. We traveled from Tennessee to visit Holiday World, so we chose Sun outdoors to stay since it is conveniently located. We arrived at 3pm to check in. The girl working the lobby was on the phone when we walked in and after a few minutes she acknowledged us and very quickly got us checked in. We weren't told where our cabin was located or even that we would have to enter a code to go through the gate. After finally finding our cabin, we unloaded our vehicle and started putting stuff away then noticed that our water was not working at all. Had to call the after hours number to get assistance in correcting the problem. A few moments later a young man came and fixed it outside. We chose to explore the resort but unfortunately most amenities were closed. We did enjoy the arcade, however several games took credits but didn't actually work. We returned to the cabin to relax for the night only to find out that the Wi-Fi signal was horrible and would not connect well enough to be able to enjoy anything on TV. Quite unfortunate since there are 3 smart TVs in the cabin, yet you can't watch anything on them because of the weak signal. You're charged "resort fees" that supposedly cover all of the activities and also Wi-Fi so that seems like a ripoff when the wifi doesn't work and most of the things were closed. Also, Holiday World closed at 5pm on Saturday however their recordings from their rides played on repeat all the way thru 2 am Sunday morning. We also noticed ants all over the living room the first night of our stay. They seemed to just get worse throughout the stay. The area is beautiful with great views and I definitely recommend renting a golf cart if you choose to stay here. We enjoyed the gas grill, the beautiful, huge deck and all the area to ride the golf carts. I would probably stay again but not in a rush to go back. I would suggest packing food or stopping along the way somewhere other than Santa Claus to purchase groceries for your trip. We could not believe the prices in the town and regretted not being fully stocked

Love this campground!!! We come ever year around mothers day and it's the perfect time to come before the campground is packed!! They have sooo many golf carts to rent but they are definitely expensive

Great campground. I do miss the inflatable slide though, that was awesome. I also think some pickleball courts would be an awesome addition here with its rapid growth in popularity. Plus the courts don’t take up as much space as tennis courts. And y’all could rent out paddles/balls for free for the people who didn’t bring their own. Overall, great place located right next to an even better place.

Absolutely ridiculous they want an additional $40 fee to hold the campground I selected. Never have I seen a campsite do this. Money hungry and greedy is all that it. Anywhere else site selection is included in cost. Pathetic. I’ll be looking elsewhere. After that $40 it’s the same as a motel room.

Every year they raise the price. They find the dumbest reasons to do so. $50.00 a night to tent camp, So 100.00 for the weekend. Now here is where it gets fun. They charge you an extra 30.00 for a "resort fee" I'm sleeping on the ground smh, AND THEN once you pick your campsite they want an extra 40.00 to guarantee that site. LMAO WHAT!?? Some of these tent sites are on a hill ECT terrible. Before sun and fun outdoors bought this place it was AMAZING... I refuse to fall in line and spend that sort of money to tent camp. INSANE

We take our RV here once or twice a year. The grounds are nice, they have a variety of things to do including a small arcade, fishing, tarils, putt putt, pools, water slides and the campers decorate for Halloween. They offer cabins for rent as well.
