Lake Wateree is great for camping, campsites are large and mostly level for easy setup. We got a lake view site with wonderful views and the site was so level we didn't have to use levelers. Lot of boats on the lake and they have a nice hiking trail along with other amenities. Bathhouses are pretty clean with nice showers. The area around the tackle shop is beautiful with many picnic tables good views of the lake. Would definitely recommend this state park.

The picnic area, nature trail, and playground were nice and mostly clean. The nature trail is great for kids as it is very easy. There are swings overlooking the lake that are well maintained and comfortable. It is a great way to spend the morning exploring with young kids and even better if you have a kayak or paddle board.

Paintball Dad

This park has made a lot of improvements since I first started visiting. No more swarms of mayflies, they cleared out the trees and bushes that were obstructing the walkway from the playground to the shoreline, and they've got a food truck out there. I wish there was more convenient spots for fishing and swimming. But maybe that will come in time.

Nice. Paved roads and parking aprons. Restrooms upgraded. Some spots have tree roots raising the asphalt up. Store very nice. Park is an island and some spots have a straight down drop off to water. Drop off very close to picnic table. Not good for small kids. I would say these spots are in the teens or so.

It's a nice family oriented park. Quiet,very serene to sit and watch the boats and birds fly by. I would highly recommend!

We went to see friends of ours for a couple of hours. Really liked what we saw. The park decorated for Halloween. It was awesome. Will definitely go back.

It's a great place and a clean place but don't fish buy the tackle shop, because of the boats coming and going. All other places are great. I recommend for everyone to come out and have fun.
