I had a great time. Gate security was top-notch. Check-in was easy. Went with a group of friends, and we rented a deluxe cabin. Had 3 parking spots at cabin, too! There was a bathroom with a shower inside the cabin, a kitchen with a stove top, a refrigerator, a microwave and dishes & utensils. Amenities were closed for the season, but the miniature golf and hiking and beaches nearby were accessible .

Do not stay here. My husband says it's where RVs go to die. They are all old, dirty, full of mold/mildew outside and falling apart. It's like a horror movie set. On top of that, the road noise is SO loud you absolutely cannot even sit outside and have a conversation. No point in having a fire since we would have to clean out the fire pit which is full of beer cans and a large bag of dog poop. The pictures must be decades old, as none of what you see is here--or at least not the version pictured. The price was $50, but they added several fees that I have never seen--like resort fee (total joke), and it ended up being $65. A total rip-off. We have friends traveling in another RV with us and she found her pistol to keep nearby as she slept. I can only surmise that the positive reviews were from friends of the owner. Stay away--stay far, far, away.

This was one of the worst camping experiences I've ever had from the moment we got here to the night before we left. When we got to our campsite to set up we were immediately met with the smell of sewer. Two sites over my husband found a broken open sewer grate with crap just swimming in it. I understand with camping that you will come across lots of bugs, but because of the smell there were flies everywhere. Then we came to discover that this really isn't a campground, this is more of a trailer park. It's geared towards the more permanent sites. There are golf carts everywhere. And they just are constantly driving by. There never was a moment where one wasn't passing our campsite and we were at the clear end away from the amenities. In addition to this, the noise was overwhelming. You have the noise from all the people, the golf carts, the highway, railroad and people drag racing up and down the main road right next to the campground. The night before there were people chanting, screaming and blasting music up until 1am even though the quiet hour was at 11pm. The only positive is that it was only ten minutes to the west end beach.

I recently stayed here had a mixed experience. This place is clearly more geared towards campers, RVs and permanent residents, rather than tent camping. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was quite loud, and it seemed like many guests ignored the designated quiet hours. Another issue was the speed at which some people drove their golf carts around the campground—it felt unsafe at times. On a positive note, the bathrooms were generally clean, but I did find a dirty tampon on the shower floor, which was pretty off-putting. If you have an RV or camper, you might have a better experience here, but for tent campers looking for peace and quiet, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
