Overview
Lakeshore Inn & RV offers a peaceful mountain retreat situated within the scenic Shasta-Trinity National Forest. This destination serves as a comfortable bridge between a traditional lodge experience and a classic RV park, making it a versatile choice for Northern California travelers. The property provides a forested atmosphere characterized by mature trees and a relaxed pace of life. Location & Surroundings
Nestled in the small community of Lakehead, the park is conveniently located just off Interstate 5, yet it feels tucked away from the main transit corridor. It sits within a very short drive to the shores of Shasta Lake, the largest reservoir in California. The surroundings are defined by steep, timber-covered hills and expansive vistas. Visitors often appreciate the easy access to boat launches and local marinas, which are essential for those bringing watercraft to explore the lake’s many hidden coves and inlets.

The park is equipped with essential features to ensure a comfortable stay for motorized travelers. Guests have access to full hookup RV sites that accommodate various rig sizes under a canopy of shade trees. On-site facilities include a seasonal swimming pool, a laundry room, and clean restroom facilities. One of the standout features is the seasonal on-site restaurant and bar, which provides a convenient dining option for guests. The pet-friendly grounds also offer space for walking dogs while enjoying the fresh mountain air.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor adventure is the primary draw for this region. Boating, jet skiing, and fishing on Shasta Lake are the most popular activities, but the surrounding wilderness offers much more. Hikers can head north to explore the dramatic granite spires of Castle Crags State Park or visit the majestic McCloud Falls. For those interested in local geology, the Lake Shasta Caverns are a short drive away. Additionally, the iconic silhouette of Mt. Shasta provides a stunning backdrop for photography and regional day trips.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an excellent fit for outdoor enthusiasts and boaters who want a functional home base near the water. It appeals to families who enjoy having a pool and on-site dining, as well as couples looking for a quiet mountain escape. Because the property offers both RV sites and inn rooms, it is a great choice for multi-generational groups where some travelers prefer their rigs while others want the comforts of a hotel room. We stayed here earlier in the month. Below is my experience that was emailed to the email provided online. I never received any response. Therefore I figured it may be a good idea to share a review. Good afternoon, I am reaching out today regarding our stay this past weekend. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin, the amenities in the cabin not matching the amenities stated on line, the price we paid per night vs the cabins near next and door to us, their price structure and amenities. We were also not informed at the time of booking, we would have no access to the bar or restaurant due to a $50.00 per person event taking place 8/22. Upon arrival I was advised I needed to pay an additional $120.00, I advised the gentleman there would be an RV checking in 8/23 and they would take care of that. When the RV Site checked in there were advised there was a balance of $385 to be paid. Which had already been paid by me at the time of booking. Friday night there were children driving golf carts erratically up and down in front of the cabins. There were even two children on the roof of the golf cart screaming. These children could have been seriously injured had an incident occurred. This happened again Saturday night. There was no regard to any other guests outside, and no one to inform as all staff was occupied with the event taking place. The pool was also very dirty and cloudy. No one maintained or cleaned the pool area the entire time we were there. There were wadded up towels that sat there for two days and trash everywhere. (Not very inviting after a hot day in the sun) I have attached some photos of Cabin 8 where we resided for the weekend. Online the following shows as included in the cabin: Bold items reflect items that were available for use. Included in your stay: -Private AC -Private bathroom -2 shower towels -2 hand towels -2 washcloths -Linens - Two pillows -Basic Kitchen Utensils -Refrigerator -Coffee Machine -Microwave -Toaster Oven -Dish Soap -2 kitchen Towels Our cabin included: 1 shower towel 3 spoons and 1 butter knife 2- used ¼ rolls of toilet paper The cabin next door- 7 to us had a full drawer of silverware, all towels as listed on the website, a can opener, and other basic kitchen utensils, as well as a brand new roll of toilet paper in addition to the roll already open. Cabin 10 was rented for $100.00 per night and also came with all of the amenities as listed on the website. The floor in our cabin was filthy had not been mopped or swept for that matter, there were cob webs everywhere. Overall it was just a crummy experience. It is my hope by informing you of our struggles, customers in the future will not experience the same issues. We have stayed many times in the past over the years, always in an RV Spot and never experienced any issues, the pool was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. This stay was quite the contrary. If you have any questions or I can provide any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. NEEDLESS TO SAY I DID NOT HEAR A WORD!

This is an awesome, intimate concert venue! We stayed the weekend in one of their cabins and attended the Jay Webb concert. The concert was amazing, definitely an up close and personal experience. The setting is beautiful perched up above the shore of Lake Shasta. The food was really good and the drinks are flowing. The staff are all very nice and give off the down home family vibes, always very helpful giving service with a smile! The one room cabins are 100 years old! Impressive. Now these cabins may not be for you if you are a bit bouige. There are very basic amenities provided in the price tag that comes with a cabin so plan accordingly, possibly call in advance to confirm what’s available in your cabin as it did vary a bit from the list online. This was however on site for the event, we enjoyed our amenities very much. Overall we had a great stay here and will definitely consider coming again for a concert and a cabin.

Our band Wilder played at Lakeshore recently and man this place is top notch! Super friendly and helpful staff, awesome food and drinks, killer production and sound team, and a beautiful backdrop for live music! If you are a local or touring artist make sure Lakeshore is on your list and if you enjoy live music in the north state make sure you catch a show here!

This used to be a great place to go. The kids really used to have fun playing in the pool and in the arcade. Now with the new pricing, it's not worth camping there. A hundred dollars a night to tent camp just isn't worth it. Food service was okay at best, no hot water in the shower, there wasn't even a dumpster to put your garbage in.

This place is a blast for families!!! We had a family reunion here. Delicious food, great bands, fun karaoke and walking distance to lake side where we set up canopies in a cove for the family to swim. We stayed in our 42ft motorhome with 50 amp hookup. The volleyball court was very popular with our family. Highly recommend!!!
