YANKEE BOY

Great family campground, lake front sites have a great view clean modern and well maintained bathroom and showers. You and bring your own kayaks or they have rentals. There rec room is well stocked with games. Great well stocked camp store, the owners are kind and attentive.

Lakeside Campground is wonderful and the owners are fantastic. It is very family friendly with a pond and an outdoor heated swimming pool. They have made tremendous improvements to the campground and sincerely care about all of the people who chose to stay here. I was made aware of a recent post that described them as being racist and denying people their free right to speech. As I was involved in this incident, I would like to shine some light on it. Unfortunately, at the time, I was fearful of addressing my concerns with the people camping next to us. The times we are living in caused me to fear retaliation if I complained directly to the party involved. I was offended by the raucous behavior, extreme foul language and mistreatment of the standing trees. I was wrong for not speaking to them directly as I discovered a few days later. The campers were simply letting off steam and having a good time. When the owners spoke to them, their behavior changed. I am grateful that the owners of this establishment were willing to address the campers and explain the rules that are in place to protect all those who stay here. It takes courage to have rules and confront people when those rules are not being followed. I regret that they were put in the position of having to intervene as it resulted in a bad review that may affect their business. I however, praise them for having rules, enforcing them and offering a place that is safe for all campers. They are not racist and do not deny people their free speech.

We had a wonderful stay at Lakeside Campground over Labor Day weekend. It is a busy campground, but the staff were all very friendly. Our kids LOVED the big pool, and of course the lake is a big hit. We were impressed with the ice cream social the staff offered on Sunday as well. We plan to come back next summer.

Went here on a much needed weekend getaway, good views, lots of activities ( pool, swim in lake, kayaks, paddleboats and fishing posts). They have a little store for most necessities. Provided safety gear for the water activities. And no charge for using them which was refreshing. It is not a secluded area, so if youre looking for complete privacy, at least along the lake front it isnt. Very dog friendly place as well for those who have little critters. Overall a nice refreshing place to get away, relax by the lake and do some activities while there.

We love our stay July 25 2025. We were on route and only sleeping one night, but we fell in love with this campground. Fantastic owners, friendly campers and such a beautiful place. Too bad we live so far away, otherwise we'd be seasonal. Go! You won't be disapointed.

Love it! We will never go anywhere else! Fully loaded sites, super clean bathrooms, friendly staff. We loved miss Penny! Swimming, fishing, biking hiking, boating the have it all. Game room, arcade, playground. Very pet and kid friendly.

We took our toddler for his first "camping" experience (aka one of their cabins) and we had an AMAZING trip. I can't stress how lovely and attentive the staff were. The facilities were clean, the pool was pleasant and the lake was stocked with so many fish that even the 3yr old pulled up some sunnies. The cabin itself was spotless, private and had everything we needed for a few days stay. I can't speak to the yurts or other campers, but the cabins were tremendous. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay in the Lakeside Yurt over an extremely rainy and chilly Memorial Day Weekend. The yurt was beautifully crafted and it had wonderful amenities. There was plenty of room for our family of 4 and our pup! We enjoyed walking around the campgrounds as there was not a lot of heavy car traffic in and out. Everyone there was extremely pleasant and friendly from start to finish. Definitely a family friendly campground! Thank you Lakeside Campground for an amazing weekend!

Went with my boyfriend in August and we absolutely loved it here! Staff was so friendly and accommodating. They made us feel extremely welcome. We were only supposed to be there a week of our vacation and ended up staying the entire duration of two weeks due to how comfortable we felt being here. Absolutely would go back 😊

Got washed in there from a storm. And what a great place to find! Rented a little cabin ; clean and nice, ceiling fan , plenty of hot water in the shower at a very fair price. + The co owner signed me in, nice and helpful as can be. Definitely recommend this place, beautiful Lake too boot !

Very nice, well kept, staff is friendly and helpful, they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant. Bathrooms and showers are amazingly immaculate, a quarter gets you a nice, hot, 9 minutes. The site was level, and clean. A few rowdy campers were an issue, but the owners respond quickly if asked to enforce quiet hour rules. Lake is small, but useful. Fishing was decent and entertaining. Be seeing you guys again soon! Thank you for the great 6 night stay❤
